To elevate the cooking experience, the LG SIGNATURE Oven Range offers functions such as Gourmet AI, which uses an AI camera inside the oven to identify more than 85 dishes and automatically select the ideal cooking settings. The AI Browning feature monitors bread as it bakes and sends a notification through the ThinQ app when it reaches the preset level of doneness. Connected smartphone features include real-time monitoring, a time-lapse recap after cooking and easy sharing on social media. The new SIGNATURE lineup stays true to its Refined Minimal design identity – a unified aesthetic defined by sleek horizontal lines, iconic gold accents and meticulous craftsmanship. Hot Air Balloons, Drones, Drifting, and Dream Flights: "A Weekend of Everything That Flies" Returns to New Clark City this February 13-15
Get ready for a thrilling weekend at the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, packed with hot air balloon rides, paragliding adventures, drone races, paper plane battles, high-flying demos, heart-pounding car drifting, and a buzzing fly market—all in one epic celebration of the skies (L-R): BCDA Vice President for Public Affairs Leilani Barlongay-Macasaet, BCDA Officer-in-Charge and Senior Vice President for Conversion and Development Group Engr. Mark P. Torres, PSC Commissioner Edward Hayco, Provincial Government of Tarlac Investment Promotions Officer Frances Canlas, PIHABF Founder and Organizer Capt. Joy Roa, and BCDA Vice President for Investment Promotions and Marketing Kenneth R. Peralta Mark your calendars as the 26th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta takes flight on February 13 to 15, 2026, bringing three days of color, energy, and sky-high excitement to New Clark City in Tarlac. This upcoming edition is set to be one of the biggest yet, featuring 22 new special-shaped balloons, the highest number in its history, with pilots flying in from the United Kingdom, United States, Belgium, Netherlands, Macedonia, Switzerland, Germany, and Brazil. Each day of the 2026 edition will close with two crowd favorites: the glowing hot air balloons and a massive 500-drone show lighting up the New Clark City skyline with colorful formations and messages. Guests can enjoy world-class action with Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) sanctioned paragliding and First-Person View (FPV) drone racing competitions, featuring participants from at least six countries, including the UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, and the Philippines. More competitors are registering following the announcement that the Airsports Federation of Asia (AFA) will hold its first 2026 board meeting in New Clark City during the balloon fiesta. Adding even more energy to the experience is the fast-rising Soccer Drone competition, quickly gaining global popularity, with a demo court for visitors to try it out and hopes for the Fiesta to host a world championship in the future. School teams from Far Eastern Air Transport Incorporated University (FEATI University) and Philippine Air Transport and Training Services College of Aeronautics (PATTS College of Aeronautics) are forming their respective teams to compete, with the winning team set to represent the Philippines in international events and competitions around the world. A Paper Plane competition, open to all ages, invites everyone to join in the fun, while throughout the day, RC airplane demos, aerial dogfights, and kite shows fill the skies with excitement. Filipino inventor Kyxz Mendiola will also demonstrate his homebuilt manned flying drone, showing himself flying inside it, a glimpse at the future of personal air travel, as it takes flight across the grounds for all to see. Ultralights will do their usual formation flying around the fiesta grounds. On the ground, guests can enjoy car drifting, browse through a lively Fly Market, and savor Pampanga’s well-loved dishes along with other popular food choices. With the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) stepping in as a strong supporter, these efforts are expected to boost Aero Sports and draw more non-traditional tourism into the country. The PSC has begun supporting our paragliding and paramotor athletes for the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, and these same paramotors will be showcasing their skills during the event. “For over 25 years, this event has been our way of sharing the magic of flight with every Filipino,” shared Capt. Joy Roa, expressing his excitement for the 26th Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. “We’re thrilled to bring even more experiences that inspire, amaze, and open doors to the world of aviation.” Ms. Frances Canlas, Investment Promotions Officer of the Provincial Government of Tarlac, expressed the local government unit’s full support to the Balloon Fiesta. She says, “This stands as a beacon of innovative sporting events and ushers in a renewed vibrancy as it soars once again in the province of Tarlac at New Clark City. This exciting event is expected to catalyze transformative economic growth, drawing thousands of visitors into the province and driving demand across the hospitality, culinary, transportation, and experiential sectors, while strengthening resilient logistics and supply chains province-wide.” Engr. Mark P. Torres, Senior Vice President and Officer-In-Charge of the Bases Conversion and Development Bases and Development Authority (BCDA), noted, "As we prepare for this return, we envision a festival that is not only bigger and more vibrant, but also more inclusive—one that brings benefit to our communities and highlights Clark's readiness as a premier tourism and investment destination." For those interested in a career in aviation, Capt. Joy explained that the Fiesta will feature passionate and successful professionals sharing their journeys. “We want to inspire the next generation of aviators by showing them how we started and what it takes to succeed in this industry,” he said. Attendees will learn about the adventures, challenges, and triumphs of working in a fast-paced field that offers strong career potential and high ROI. “Aviation offers excellent opportunities abroad, competitive salaries, and a chance to see the world while doing something you love,” Capt. Joy added. The lineup includes air traffic controllers, aircraft mechanics, flight attendants, safety inspectors, civilian and military pilots, and many more ready to share their stories. With every flight and stunt over the years, the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta has captivated audiences with unforgettable moments, from the “100 Years of Flying” tribute and aircraft rallies from across Asia to breathtaking performances by the Breitling Jet Team, the Wing Walkers, and the daring aerobatics by Mark Jefferies of the Global Stars team. The Fiesta has also thrilled spectators with annual skydiving exhibitions and tandem jumps, hosted Ms. Aviation competitions, and featured ABS-CBN concerts alongside the iconic hot air balloon night glow. Cultural exchanges with countries like Turkey, complete with traditional dancers, porcelain artists, and carpet weavers, have enriched the experience, while renowned Filipino artist Manuel Baldemor contributed designs for posters and souvenir programs. Indoor aviation career seminars have long inspired students to pursue careers in the industry, providing insights from experienced pilots, air traffic controllers, flight attendants, safety inspectors, and mechanics. TIEZA reaffirms commitment to “Building Tourism Together” through more sustainable infrastructure, heritage preservation, and transformative investments in 2026
The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) today underscored its strengthened commitment to “building tourism together with communities, local governments, private sector partners, and national agencies as it accelerates major infrastructure, heritage preservation, and sustainable development projects across the country in 2026.   As the primary agency mandated to develop, manage, and supervise tourism infrastructure nationwide, TIEZA continues to shape a more dynamic, inclusive, and future-ready tourism landscape—anchored on collaboration and shared growth, and all in line with the National Tourism Development Plan of 2023-2028.. **A Unified Approach to Tourism Development** Guided by the Republic Act 9593 (Tourism Act of 2009), TIEZA is driving a comprehensive portfolio of initiatives that uplift tourism destinations, preserve cultural assets, and equip communities with world-class facilities that support increasing visitor demand.   “Building tourism together requires partnerships rooted in trust, shared responsibility, and a unified vision for national development,” said TIEZA Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid. “Every project we undertake—from heritage restoration to sustainable utilities and large-scale convention facilities—is designed to empower local communities, strengthen tourism competitiveness, and ensure that the benefits of tourism are felt by more Filipinos.” Meanwhile, TIEZA’s work in safeguarding national heritage goes hand in hand with modernization. The 3D Laser Scanning of the Philippines’ UNESCO Baroque Churches showcases this fusion—digitally preserving structures such as San Agustin Church, Miagao Church, Santa Maria Church, and Paoay Church for future restoration and disaster resilience. Nationwide, TIEZA continues to lead major restoration and revitalization projects including the Nuestra Señora del Pilar Parish in Sibonga, Cebu, the Bacolod Heritage Plaza and Government Center in Negros Occidental, Magellan’s Landing Site in Homonhon Island, Eastern Samar, Burnham Park in Baguio City, and the Quezon City Memorial Circle Redevelopment in Metro Manila.   TIEZA’s sustainability agenda also includes the construction of critical sewerage and wastewater treatment facilities in Puerto Galera and Coron; scientific coastal monitoring such as the Boracay Green Tide Chronicles; and nationwide solar lighting projects that support eco-friendly tourism circuits. These investments secure environmental resilience while protecting the long-term viability of high-value destinations. **Strengthening Tourism Enterprise Zones and Investment Pipelines** Through Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zones (TEZs) and assets such as the Mt. Samat Flagship TEZ, , San Vicente Flagship TEZ, Iloilo Convention Center, Paoay Sand Dunes, and the Paoay Golf Course Rehabilitation, TIEZA continues to expand high-impact tourism infrastructure that positions local economies for growth.     As the lead Investments Promotion Agency for Philippine tourism, TIEZA is intensifying the TIEZA Registration Process under CREATE Act to provide assistance to a broader range of enterprises under the CREATE Act. These include medical and wellness tourism, accommodation, integrated tourism estates, ecotourism and adventure attractions, agritourism, tourist transport services, and technology-enabled tourism enterprises. Strategic pipeline of initiatives for tourism enterprises include the forthcoming Philippine Tourism Investment Roadmap, one of TIEZA’s flagship initiatives for 2026 It lays the foundation for a more competitive tourism investment landscape. It will identify priority development areas, outline strategic investment directions, and unify national and local tourism goals into a cohesive, forward-looking framework. By strengthening policy alignment, enhancing investor support systems, and promoting bankable, sustainable tourism projects, the Roadmap is poised to unlock new markets, catalyze major developments, and drive long-term economic growth.   To operationalize the Roadmap, TIEZA is launching the Philippine Tourism Investment Portfolio, a structured platform that highlights priority tourism projects across the nation. The Portfolio guides investors toward viable opportunities while improving coordination among government agencies, LGUs, and private sector partners—ensuring that investments are sustainable, inclusive, and aligned with market needs. Complementing these initiatives is the TIEZA RBE Awards, which recognizes Registered Business Enterprises (RBEs) for excellence in service quality, sustainability, and economic contribution. The Awards celebrate outstanding efforts that advance inclusive, regenerative, and high-impact tourism development. Ongoing TEZ developments further demonstrate TIEZA’s commitment to building tourism together. In the San Vicente Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone, TIEZA is implementing the ₱365-million Design and Build of the CBDC River Water System to secure long-term potable water supply for tourism establishments and local communities across the Long Beach area. Meanwhile, at the Mt. Samat Shrine Flagship TEZ, the development of a world-class Visitors Complex—featuring an upgraded Visitors Center, Tourism Assistance Center, and Multi-Purpose Building—aims to elevate visitor experience and strengthen economic participation for Pilar, Bataan. **Building Tourism Together** TIEZA’s unwavering commitment to excellence continues to earn national and international recognition, underscoring its role as a leading force in the country’s tourism development agenda. The agency has been consistently acknowledged as a Top-Performing GOCC (2022), received an Unqualified Opinion from the Commission on Audit for 2022–2024, and maintained ISO Certification since 2015—affirming its strong governance, operational efficiency, and adherence to global standards. TIEZA was also honored with the Infrastructure Project of the Year (Tourism) at the GovMedia Awards 2024 and recognized for Leadership in Tourism Development at the World Leaders Summit in the United Kingdom, demonstrating its growing influence in shaping resilient, future-ready tourism ecosystems. As global competition intensifies and travel demand continues to rise, TIEZA remains steadfast in its mission to ensure that tourism growth is sustainable, inclusive, and transformative. “We invite tourism developers, innovators, and investors to take part in shaping the future of Philippine tourism. Together, we will continue building tourism together—one project, one partnership, and one destination at a time,” says COO Lapid. The Longest-running Christmas Toy Event is back for its 18th Year! Spend the most wonderful time of the year shopping for toys, art, and collectibles as the Christmas Toys and Collectibles Fair 2025 happens during the height of this season!   From the organizers of the biggest pop-culture event in the country, TOYCON PH, comes the longest-running Christmas toy event, now on its 18th year. The Christmas Toys and Collectibles Fair, or Christmas ToyFair for short, has evolved from a simple holiday bazaar into one of the most anticipated geek-culture gatherings of the year. It brings together local and international vendors, artists, collectors, and fans to enjoy — and share — their passion for toys, art, and nostalgia. The ToyFair aims to foster community, creativity, and the joy of gift-giving during the Christmas season. Toy collectors, artists, content creators, cosplayers, gamers and families are invited to attend the Christmas ToyFair, and enjoy great finds among a curated collection of toys, rare figurines, memorabilia, and holiday-themed merchandise all under one roof. The event will take place from December 12 to 14, 2025, at the Megatrade Halls, 5th level SM Megamall Building B from 10:00AM to 9:00 PM daily. More Than Just a Christmas Bazaar The ToyFair has long become a holiday tradition for many — a place not only to buy toys and collectibles, but also to celebrate fandom, hobbyist culture, and the close-knit community of collectors. As such, the Christmas ToyFair 2025 Edition is more than just a bazaar: it’s a gathering point for pop-culture lovers, collectors’ clubs, artists, cosplayers, friends, fans and families looking for fun and unique finds.   For collectors: this is one of the biggest opportunities in the year to score rare items, limited editions, and exclusive goods — often ideal for holiday/Christmas gifting or to expand a collection, from the country’s biggest names in Art Toys such as Quiccs, Reen Barrera, Creon Chknhead, Pol Medina, Harvey Tolibao and many more. A key feature of recent ToyFair editions—and one fans continue to love—is the Artist Alley, a bustling zone for indie illustrators, customizers, 3D artists, designers, and toy makers. From hand-sculpted art toys and resin figures to original prints and stickers, Artist Alley remains the heart of local creativity at the fair.       Attendees can expect high-energy performances, stunning holiday-themed builds, and appearances of beloved anime, gaming, and superhero characters roaming the halls for photo ops.   Event Highlights The Christmas ToyFair will feature: • Limited-edition releases and rare finds, including imported action figures, diecast cars and collectibles, art toys, apparel, and exclusive merchandise • Meet-and-greet sessions with local toy designers, artists, and custom-figure makers • Great deals from over 350+ booths offering action figures, board games, holiday merchandise, cards, comics, and DIY cosplay, custom art and crafts • Meet & Greet booths with Cosplay celebrities powered by ProjexxCC Cosplay Collective, to be launched during the Christmas ToyFair     • The biggest Cosplay Competition: TOYCON CosKon will have its qualifier rounds for its Qualifier Rounds for its Top 5 Male and Female finalists featuring Celebrity Cosplay judges • BATTLE NEXUS electrifying tournaments and Anime Clash powered by SHORYU: Fighting Games Festival Philippines • Musical performers and bands featuring: Souldrift, Bullet Days, Mohini, Power Pop Gurlz, Renjin and Luisa • Family-friendly zones, complete with a kids’ toy corner, interactive toy exhibits with many photo stations • Trading Card Game tournaments, Pokemon Alley and table top Battle Grounds in the ToyFair Play Zone • Charity Auctions and the annual toy drive for our various Children’s charities           What You Should Do to Prepare - If you want rare or limited-edition items: come early (floor likely gets crowded), preferably Day 1, to have first dibs. - Keep to within your budget — with wide variety of toys, collectibles, merch, cosplay accessories, etc., it’s easy to overspend. TIEZA Reinforces the Legacy of Club Intramuros Golf Course as a Premier Sports Tourism and Heritage Landmark
The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) proudly underscores its commitment to cultural preservation, sports tourism, and sustainable tourism development through its continued stewardship of the Club Intramuros Golf Course (CIGC)—one of the Philippines’ most historically significant recreational sites and a distinctive gem in the country’s golf tourism landscape. Strategically located within the storied walls of Intramuros, the Club Intramuros Golf Course offers a rare combination of athletic pursuit and heritage immersion. Established in 1906 during the early American colonial period, the course is not simply a leisure amenity but a living mark of Manila’s layered history. Its manicured greens and fairways sit against the backdrop of Spanish-era fortifications, old watchtowers and historic artillery—making it one of the few golf courses in the world built entirely within a preserved heritage district. More than a destination for golf enthusiasts, the Club Intramuros Golf Course plays a vital role in sustaining cultural identity and community vibrance. It serves as a green lung within the capital’s historic center, a venue for sports tourism activities, and an iconic tourist spot that connects modern recreation with the Philippines’ colonial heritage. **A Testament to TIEZA’s Mandate to Protect, Preserve, and Promote Tourism Assets** As one of TIEZA’s managed properties, the Club Intramuros Golf Course exemplifies two of the agency’s four core mandates: (1) to develop and maintain quality tourism infrastructure, and (2) to preserve cultural and historical assets for future generations. TIEZA’s dedication to the preservation of CIGC ensures that its historic significance is honored while continuing to meet standards for sports tourism facilities. Current efforts include heritage-sensitive landscaping, structural conservation, facility upgrades, drainage and irrigation improvements, and sustainability-focused maintenance work—each guided by the agency’s responsibility to balance preservation with modern tourism needs.   “TIEZA is committed to protecting tourism assets that reflect our cultural roots and elevate the Philippines as a global destination,” said TIEZA COO Mark T. Lapid. “The Club Intramuros Golf Course is a symbolic reminder of our past and a vibrant platform for sports tourism. Its continued preservation is made possible through the support of every Filipino traveler.” ** Building Tourism Together: How Travel Tax Contributions Sustain CIGC** TIEZA emphasizes the collective power of Filipino travelers in shaping the country’s tourism landscape. A portion of travel tax collections directly supports the operations, upkeep, and preservation of tourism assets under TIEZA’s portfolio—including the Club Intramuros Golf Course—ensuring the continued protection of its historical structures and the improvement of its tourism facilities. This includes maintenance of the course’s fairways, greens, and heritage-sensitive landscaping, and upgrading of facilities such as lighting, safety features, and visitor amenities for year-round playability.   Every contribution made by travelers helps TIEZA sustain the CIGC as a safe, enjoyable, and historically significant site—allowing both local and foreign visitors to appreciate the unique experience of golfing within the centuries-old Walled City. ** Strengthening Golf Tourism in the Philippines** As golf tourism continues to grow globally, the Club Intramuros Golf Course stands as one of the Philippines’ most strategic assets. Its central location, night golf offerings, rich heritage value, and picturesque setting make it a key attraction for international golfers and tour operators seeking distinctive, memorable experiences.   CIGC complements the country’s broader network of world-class golf courses, further positioning the Philippines as an emerging golf tourism hub in Asia. As part of TIEZA’s long-term tourism development roadmap, enhancements to the course are expected to support increased visitor arrivals, economic activity for Intramuros and nearby communities, and wider recognition of Manila as a historic yet dynamic destination. **A Living Heritage, Sustained by Collective Support** ** **With its blend of history, heritage, and sport, the Club Intramuros Golf Course represents a triumph of cultural preservation and tourism development. Its continued protection is a shared responsibility—made possible through TIEZA’s stewardship, the support of the Department of Tourism, the involvement of the Intramuros Administration, and the contributions of Filipino travelers through the travel tax. Recently, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. emphasized his vision for the revitalization and sustainability of Manila City landmarks and centers. TIEZA supports this direction and recently launched the "Sundays at Club Intramuros" initiative to give the community an opportunity to enjoy non-golf activities such as walking, jogging, light exercises, and small group picnics within the historic Intramuros walls.   As TIEZA advances its mission of Building Tourism Together, CIGC remains a powerful reminder that preserving the country's past plays an essential role in shaping a stronger, more vibrant tourism future. For more information, visit https://tieza.gov.ph and follow @TIEZAOfficial on Facebook, and @tiezagovph on Instagram and X. About TIEZA The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) is the infrastructure, investment, and asset management arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT), mandated to develop, manage, and supervise tourism infrastructure projects and Tourism Enterprise Zones (TEZs) across the country. Through strategic investments in public tourism facilities, flagship destinations, and sustainable development initiatives, TIEZA plays a vital role in enhancing the country's tourism-readiness and the tourists' travel experience seamless and meaningful. TIEZA is committed to helping transform the Philippines into a globally-competitive tourism destination.

TIEZA’s 16-Year Legacy of Transforming the Travel Tax Into Tourism Development
Since its establishment in 2009, the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) has emerged as a key driver of tourism-led growth, harnessing the power of the Philippine Travel Tax to fund sustainable infrastructure, attract private investments, and uplift local communities across the country. Over the past 16 years, TIEZA has redefined how tourism development contributes to nation-building and how every traveler’s contribution can transform into lasting impact through projects that enhance accessibility, preserve heritage, and promote inclusive growth. **Building the Foundations of Tourism** Between 2021 and 2025, TIEZA implemented over 200 tourism infrastructure projects nationwide, improving access, safety, and sustainability in key and emerging destinations. Among its flagship accomplishments is the rollout of 34 Tourist Rest Areas (TRAs) across major travel corridors — modern facilities designed to enhance traveler comfort through clean restrooms, tourism information centers, and spaces that promote local products. This initiative earned international recognition as the TRAs were named “Infrastructure Project of the Year (Tourism Category)” at the GovMedia Awards 2024 in Singapore. TIEZA also spearheaded the rehabilitation of heritage and flagship tourism assets, including the Banaue Hotel and Youth Hostel in Ifugao, Mount Data Hotel in the Cordilleras, and the Gat Andres Bonifacio Shrine and Eco-Tourism Park in Cavite. It likewise preserved historical landmarks such as the Malinta Tunnel in Corregidor and Escuela Pia in Batangas, supporting the growth of cultural and educational tourism. “Our role as the builder of tourism infrastructure goes beyond construction, enhancement, and rehabilitation. It’s about connection. Every facility we build connects travelers to destinations and communities to new opportunities,” said TIEZA Chief Operating Officer Mark T. Lapid. **Driving Investments and Sustainability** TIEZA continues to strengthen the tourism economy by developing Tourism Enterprise Zones (TEZs) — strategic areas that offer fiscal incentives to tourism-related enterprises. These incentives include Income Tax Holidays, Gross Income Tax in lieu of national taxes, and VAT and duty exemptions, which create a business-friendly environment that encourages both domestic and foreign investments. Flagship TEZs in San Vicente (Palawan), Panglao Bay Premiere (Bohol), Rizal Park (Manila), and Corregidor Island (Cavite) are now emerging as sustainable, world-class tourism hubs designed to balance economic growth with environmental responsibility. In 2024, TIEZA also signed a landmark Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with Premier Islands Management Corporation (PIMC) for the management of the Aquilino Q. Pimentel Jr. International Convention Center (APICC) — a model of efficiency and innovation in government asset management. That same year, TIEZA’s partnerships generated ₱104 million in revenue, marking a 14.29% year-on-year increase from ₱91 million in 2023. These earnings are reinvested into infrastructure development and community livelihood programs, ensuring that tourism growth remains inclusive and sustainable. **Tourism Assets That Thrive** TIEZA’s own tourism assets have shown exceptional growth, proving the agency’s effective management approach. In 2024, the Club Intramuros Golf Course in Manila generated ₱79.3 million in gross revenue, which marked a 2.98% increase from its ₱76.9 million revenue in 2023, a steady increase since the pandemic. As one of the oldest golf courses in the country, it stands out as one of the most successful and enduring government assets under the management of TIEZA. Its status as a thriving tourism asset is deeply grounded not only in its operational strengths but also in its cultural value, accessibility, and its contribution to Manila’s tourism and economic growth. Other flagship assets including the Zamboanga Golf Course and Beach Park in Zamboanga City and Mount Data Hotel in Bauko, Mountain Province have consistently seen significant performance improvements in recent years driven by upgraded facilities, sustainability measures, and stronger local partnerships. ** Recognitions and Reforms in Public Service** TIEZA’s institutional reforms have been recognized nationally and internationally. In 2024, the agency received the Civil Service Commission’s Bronze Award (Level 2 PRIME-HRM) for organizational excellence and achieved ISO 9001:2015 recertification, reinforcing its culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. That same year, TIEZA co-presented the Philippine Tourism and Hotel Investment Summit 2024, which convened over 200 business and industry leaders to strengthen the country’s tourism investment ecosystem through infrastructure innovation and policy alignment. **A Vision for the Next Decade** Looking ahead to its 20th year and the implementation of the National Tourism Development Plan (NTDP) 2023–2028, TIEZA is set to expand its portfolio of sustainable tourism projects, modernize travel facilities, and deepen collaboration with the private sector. “Our story is one of service and sustainability,” Lapid said. “The goal is not just to welcome more tourists, but to ensure that every destination we develop empowers the Filipino communities behind them.” By turning the Philippine Travel Tax into a force for national development, TIEZA continues to deliver on its mission of Building Tourism Together. For more information, visit https://tieza.gov.ph or follow @TIEZAOfficial on Facebook and @tiezagovph on Instagram and X for updates on TIEZA’s services and digital initiatives. ** About TIEZA** The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) is the infrastructure, investment, and asset management arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT), mandated to develop, manage, and supervise tourism infrastructure projects and Tourism Enterprise Zones (TEZs) across the country.

‘Train Your Brain’: BrainRx Philippines Showcases Science-Based Solutions to Unlock Children’s Learning Potential
BrainRx Co-Founders Joy Go and Mel Sua with the Panelists and Host RJ Ledesma of the Train Your Brain Event Metro Manila, November 12, 2025 — Parents seeking deeper solutions for their children’s learning challenges—specifically to improve focus, memory, and comprehension have a powerful option to consider. BrainRx Learning Plus, Inc., known as BrainRx Philippines, showcased its one-on-one brain training program during the "Train Your Brain" learning event, positioning it as a transformative approach for intervention and enrichment. BrainRx Philippines' co-founders explained that the brain training is designed to strengthen how the brain learns, unlike traditional tutoring, which re-teaches information. This approach is founded on neuroplasticity—the brain's ability to adapt and rewire. Instead of just teaching information, professional trainers use intense, targeted, and game-like procedures to stretch a student’s mental capacity. This strengthens the seven core cognitive skills used for learning and daily life, enabling students to process information more efficiently. "As Director for Training, I witness students’ transformations daily," said Mel L. Sua, Co-founder of BrainRx Philippines. "Our system's unique features, like immediate feedback and targeted intensity, are managed by the trainer to set up the right environment for students to grow. Something in the brain just clicks, and there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing the 'light bulb moment' in every student-trainer interaction, when the students become more confident in their learning and problem-solving.” Held at The Yard, BGC, the event guests received a taste of brain training through interactive activity booths highlighting the importance of cognitive skills. This was complemented by an exclusive post-event media tour of the BrainRx Philippines center, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the approaches the center uses to improve the learning abilities of their clients. Founded 13 years ago, BrainRx Learning Plus has expanded its reach to more families through its customized brain training delivered through the BrainRx suite of programs developed by LearningRx USA, world’s largest one-on-one brain training company. For educators and parents aiming for quality, holistic learning, Co-founder and Center Director Joy S. Go invites them to search for root causes of learning challenges they are observing. “Because each brain and cognitive profile is different, how well students absorb and process information also varies, so we need to go beyond cookie-cutter methods in addressing learning and performance concerns that are not resolving. A cognitive skills assessment at our center shows how strong or weak a student’s cognitive skills are and how these impact learning,” Go shared. The event’s "Real Impact, Real Stories" panel featured powerful testimonials from parents whose neurotypical and neurodivergent kids were helped by BrainRx Learning Plus. Panelists included Cyril Addison (Deli by Chele) with wife Pierre (Hospitality Consultant), Gen Enriquez-Gerodias (Expedise PH), Christine Dychiao (Tidying Consultant), and Darlene Uy (Nestlé Philippines Inc.) with teen daughter Alexandrine. They shared how the center’s brain training provided the ‘missing link’ to unlock their children’s potential, helping them address gaps in learning and performance to become more focused, confident, and attentive learners, an experience also shared by host RJ Ledesma. For Andy and Pooneh Roney, Global Leads of BrainRx whose programs are available in over 120 centers across 40+ countries, the vision is to transform how the world learns by using cutting-edge research and technology to strengthen cognitive skills and address the root causes of learning challenges. Their commitment to empowering passionate individuals to bring this transformation to their own communities was echoed by Joy S. Go and Mel L. Sua, who closed the event with a call for change-makers and entrepreneurs to offer BrainRx brain training in major cities nationwide. “Mel and Joy embody the spirit and excellence of BrainRx. Since opening their first centre in 2012, they have demonstrated unwavering dedication, professionalism, and a deep commitment to transforming lives through cognitive training. Their journey led them to become the Master Developers for the Philippines in 2019, where they have continued to set the standard for quality and integrity. With their strong leadership, high standards, and genuine investment in their team, Mel and Joy have built a culture of excellence that reflects everything BrainRx stands for. We are proud to work alongside them and deeply value their contribution to the global BrainRx family,” said Pooneh Roney. Joy S. Go concluded, "We have the power to ‘change our brains’. We’re not born with a fixed set of brain skills. We can go beyond perceived limits and labels.” The ‘Train Your Brain’ learning event thus reinforced BrainRx's core mission: providing tangible, life-changing solutions for parents who want their children to reach their full potential as learners.

Grab, CHAGEE bring modern tea culture to more Filipinos
Manila, Philippines 10 November 2025 — International tea and beverage leader CHAGEE is officially launching as an “ONLY ON GRAB” restaurant, part of a selection of merchant-partners available exclusively on GrabFood, starting with the tea brand’s Metro Manila stores. The goal is simple for Filipinos: find CHAGEE faster on the Grab app, track deliveries in real time, and enjoy localized offers that make high-quality tea an easy everyday choice. By leveraging Grab’s actionable data, engaged consumer base, and nationwide delivery fleet, the partnership positions CHAGEE to scale sustainably and drive long-term growth in the Philippine market. Early traction from CHAGEE’s soft launch on Grab points to strong demand. Since going live, the brand has averaged 46% week-on-week growth in on-demand deliveries. Average daily transactions already place CHAGEE among GrabFood’s top tea merchant partners in the Philippines, with Bo·Ya Jasmine Green Milk Tea, Da Hong Pao Milk Tea, and Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea leading orders during the introductory period. Grab and CHAGEE will build on this momentum as more stores come online. Engaging Filipino Tea Lovers For Filipino consumers, the partnership means CHAGEE will be easier to access on the Grab app – offering relevant promotions to local preferences and time-of-day demand. CHAGEE and Grab are also rolling out market-specific campaigns that turn data-driven insights into meaningful customer experiences. In the Philippines, upcoming promotions will reward customers with limited-time offers and exclusive merchandise in celebration of CHAGEE’s 8th anniversary. Highlights include savings on multi-cup purchases and collectible gifts available through CHAGEE orders on the Grab app. These initiatives reflect both brands’ shared commitment to using technology and creativity to deepen customer engagement, celebrate loyalty, and enhance the overall delivery experience. “This is a practical partnership with clear benefits for Filipinos,” said EJ Dela Vega, Grab Philippines Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Deliveries. “If you want CHAGEE, you should be able to find it on Grab and get it when you need it. At the same time, we’re using data and AI to help merchants such as CHAGEE scale, to make the customer experience more personal and reliable, and to take better care of the rider-partners who deliver for our customers every day.” Voltaire Rusiana, CHAGEE Philippines Head of Operations, added: “Grab’s presence in the Philippines helps us connect with both new and loyal CHAGEE fans. Convenience and consistency matter as much as taste, and this collaboration allows us to delivery the full CHAGEE experience to more people, quickly and at scale.” The partnership in the Philippines reflects CHAGEE and Grab’s ongoing collaboration to explore new ways of enhancing convenience and connection for customers through technology and innovation. Both brands remain committed to making quality tea experiences more accessible to everyday consumers.

Zelle Drops New Single 'Martir,' an Anthem of Unfiltered Emotion
After thirteen years away in Sweden, Jeazell Grutas, fondly known as Zelle, is back, with new music and a radically transformed artistic perspective centered on strength, truth, and healing, heralded by her latest single, "Martir," a raw exploration of the turbulent spaces between love and toxicity. Zelle, known for her powerful vocals in hits like "Sabihin" “Akala Mo Lang,” "Hindi Na Sana," and her memorable turn on Gloc-9’s “Upuan,” took a hiatus from music but has recently made a comeback after facing a difficult time in her life. "I fell into depression... biglang naunawaan ko si Chester Bennington at Cris Cornell," she shared, admitting the fear she felt. But through the darkness, an answer emerged. She realized that the opposite of depression is expression. "I saw myself being passionate on screen [during online gigs] and thought, ‘Wait, that’s Zelle.’ I asked myself what Zelle would do outside of her depression. So ngayon, I’m expressing myself to heal." This journey of recovery has transformed her artistry, making her music highly intentional. She is now unapologetically genuine to herself, with her songs aimed at sending a message of strength and truth, particularly to women. Her sound has similarly evolved, transitioning from purely emotional tracks to something more reflective. "My lyrics are more psychological now," Zelle explained. "My songs have become healers. They’re meant for reflection, for finding yourself again through music." This focus on psychological growth is crystallized in the new single, "Martir." Though the track was written years ago, Zelle felt its exploration of anxious attachment and toxic love was profoundly timely for her return, setting the stage for the upcoming single, "Liberate Me." The song is a raw examination of codependency and losing one's self for love, of "crossing boundaries" and "craving reassurance." Zelle points to a particularly jarring element in the song's composition. "That insane laugh in the song? It represents the madness that comes with insecure attachment and losing yourself for love." For Zelle, heartbreak songs like "Martir" are perpetually relevant because they serve as a necessary form of therapy. "Not everyone can afford a therapist," she notes, "and sometimes, songs like Martir help us cry and release what we’ve been holding in." Zelle has fully embraced the modern, independent music landscape, taking on the demanding roles of executive producer, music producer, and stylist for her releases. This "indie life" is taxing but deeply fulfilling. She credits her solid bandmates, John Abiathar De Leon on drums, Archie Salvador on guitar, Chester Ventura on violin, and Jing Gonzales on bass, along with a supportive production team, for keeping her grounded. "It’s like everything aligned this time," she says of her crew. "All of us share one unshakable truth: we live for music. That’s the bond, that’s the fire." Despite the scale of her undertaking, Zelle approaches this chapter with wisdom. Her main goal is simply to "enjoy and stay grounded." To her fans, both long-time supporters and new listeners, she offers a shared invitation to vulnerability. "Guys, I’m back. Let’s bleed and heal together. Feel that pain until it hurts no more.” Ultimately, Zelle wants her legacy to be one of empowerment. "I want to be remembered as a pure-blooded Filipina who inspires women to be independent and unafraid." "Martir" is now available on Spotify. Since its inaugural run in December 2023, SMMFF has pioneered a one-of-a-kind fusion of film, music, and the outdoors inviting audiences to step away from the city and into a creative sanctuary where they can truly “See What Others Can’t.” What began with just seven international short films, live music, and a close-knit community has now grown into a globally-reaching platform. For 2025, SMMFF proudly presents 39 films from 17 countries, reflecting bold storytelling and diverse artistic voices across continents. ** ORIGIN STORY: HOW SMMFF BEGAN ** The Santa Maria Music & Film Festival is the brainchild of Jennifer Maliwanag. What started as her passion project, part student initiative, part creative pursuit has since evolved into a cultural tradition. Jenn’s vision was simple but bold: to create a platform for discovering the unseen, exploring the unexplored, uplifting every voice, and celebrating every story. In 2023, she launched Santa Maria’s first-ever open-air mountaintop film festival on her family’s mountain property, transforming the space into a creative sanctuary above the clouds. Despite the challenges of staging an event in such a remote and elevated landscape, her mission was clear: to show how perseverance, community, and storytelling can bring Filipino talent to the international stage. That inaugural year laid the foundation for what SMMFF is now becoming. ** THE 2025 EDITION **     Now on its third year, SMMFF 2025 welcomes 39 finalists, handpicked from the festival’s largest and most diverse pool yet, representing 17 countries including Australia, Austria, Canada, the Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, the Philippines, Poland, the Russian Federation, Singapore, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. These 39 finalists also serve as the quarterly winners, representing a vibrant mix of narrative films, documentaries, experimental works, musical stories, and cultural pieces. While all 39 earned their place through the quarterly selection, only the final winners chosen from among them will be screened at the festival, showcasing the strongest films of the year. Judy Ann Santos is the newest brand ambassador of Kyowa
When multi-awarded actress Judy Ann Santos steps into the kitchen, it’s not just about cooking—it’s about creating moments. Whether she’s preparing breakfast before school, whipping up snacks for her kids, or hosting family dinners on weekends, every meal is an act of love. For someone who pours her heart into every dish, trust in the tools she uses matters just as much as the ingredients themselves. Now, Judy Ann has found a partner that shares her passion for home, family, and good food in Kyowa, the well-loved and trusted Filipino brand known for reliable, high-quality kitchen and home appliances. ** KYOWA AND JUDY ANN’S SHARED LOVE FOR HOME** For more than 38 years, Kyowa has been part of countless Filipino homes, known for appliances that combine function, durability, and affordability. From its iconic rice cooker seen in so many kitchens to the innovative airfryer, the iconic rice cooker, electric kettle, gas stove, and electric oven, Kyowa has quietly become the brand families depend on. “I’ve always believed that the kitchen is the heart of every home,” Judy Ann shares. “It’s where families gather, share stories, and bond over food. When I look for kitchen appliances, I look for ones that make life not only easier but more importantly, ones that I can rely on.” That sense of reliability, Judy Ann says, is exactly what she found in Kyowa: “It’s not just about having a product that works well, it’s knowing that every time I turn on the stove or use the rice cooker, it will do what I need it to do. Tiwala ako sa may K.” **COOKING MADE SIMPLER, MADE BETTER** Known for her culinary creativity both at home and as a restaurateur, Judy Ann has tried and tested her fair share of appliances. What made Kyowa stand out for her is the brand’s thoughtful balance between practicality and performance. “When I use the Kyowa Airfryer, I can easily make snacks my kids love without the guilt of deep frying,” she says with a laugh. “Or when I prepare my Black Polvoron Halo-Halo, the Kyowa Ice Shaver helps me achieve that perfect, fine ice texture. These small details matter when you love being in the kitchen.” For Judy Ann, Kyowa is synonymous with reliability, a brand that has seamlessly grown with Filipino families through the years. From classic kitchens to contemporary homes, Kyowa continues to evolve alongside the modern homemaker, offering practical innovations that make everyday living simpler, smarter, and more fulfilling Kyowa’s new campaign slogan, “Tiwala ako sa may K,” serves as a reflection of what the brand has stood for through the years: trust, dependability, and everyday excellence. These three words perfectly embody Judy Ann, a woman whose life, career, and values mirror the same ideals. With her decades in the industry, she has earned admiration not just for her success, but for her sincerity and dedication, both as a professional actress, a businesswoman and a homemaker. “Having Judy Ann join the Kyowa family is something we’re truly proud of,” says Eugene Go, Chief Operating Officer of Kyowa. “She reflects everything that Kyowa stands for: hard work, warmth, and reliability. With her stellar achievements, she is someone Filipinos look up to and yet she remains grounded. That’s exactly the kind of trust we aim to build with every product we make.” With Judy Ann at the forefront, Kyowa aims to continue empowering Filipino families to cook, create, and connect without the stress or worry. The brand’s wide range of products are designed to make home life easier and more fulfilling. In Judy Ann’s own home, she says, “At the end of the day, it’s not just about cooking. It’s about the people you cook for. Kyowa helps me make that possible, because when it comes to trust and family, tiwala ako sa may K–Kyowa!”

Unshaken by adversity: BingoPlus Foundation’s ₱6M earthquake relief efforts uplift Cebuano communities
_ BingoPlus Cebu employee volunteers distributed water, food, medicine and other essentials enough for 56,000 Filipinos across earthquake-affected communities in Bogo, San Remigio, Medellin, Daanbantayan, Borbon, and Tabogon. The ₱6-million relief effort, led by the BingoPlus Foundation, was carried out in coordination with local government units and mobilization partners._ Cebu, Philippines – The memory of the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck Northern Cebu on September 30 still haunts the region, but for BingoPlus Foundation, it was a call to action defined by dedication and grit. Armed with a commitment to multiply the good and spread hope, the BingoPlus Foundation immediately mobilized the relief operations to deliver the Php6 million support from DigiPlus Interactive and BingoPlus to thousands of Cebuanos affected by the earthquake. Little did the team know that their dedication and perseverance would be tested as the mission, implemented under the Foundation’s BayanihanPlus program, became one of its most arduous operations to date. **Serving Beyond the Quake** While BingoPlus Foundation, social development arm of DigiPlus Interactive Corp., is no stranger to difficult relief operations, the recent leg was the most challenging to date. For the Manila-based Foundation team and the local Cebu BingoPlus employee volunteers, the journey was a test of commitment. The distribution was fraught with challenges, ranging from aftershocks, heavy rains, impassable roads, and infrastructural damage. This difficult environment peaked on October 13 when volunteers experienced a 5.8 magnitude aftershock, which intensified the already complex relief operations. Despite the hazards, the team’s resolve was unwavering. Everyone was committed to fulfilling public service—to deliver not just the relief goods but multiply the good and provide hope to thousands of affected Cebuanos. As Jem Tumbaga, BingoPlus Foundation Communications Officer, shared, “I learned that serving others is not about how easy the journey is, but how willing your heart is to keep going for those who need you the most.” Tumbaga added, “Despite the bad weather, rough roads, and the scary aftershocks we experienced in Cebu, my commitment to serve others remains unshaken because I know our service will bring hope to our kababayans severely affected by the earthquake.” . _BingoPlus Store Manager, Mark Gibson Dingal, surveyed the devastation in Medellin and Bogo, Cebu, after a 6.9 magnitude earthquake and its aftershocks destroyed numerous establishments on September 30, 2025. Distribution activities proceeded from October 5 to 23 despite aftershocks, heavy rains, impassable roads, and infrastructural damage._ ** Collaboration to Multiply the Good** In the spirit of multiplying the good through collaboration, the Foundation coordinated with BingoPlus branches, local government units, the Philippine Army 53rd Engineering Brigade, the Philippine Accessible Disability Services (PADS) and supply chain networks, to carry out one of its most complex relief operations, delivering aid barangay to barangay across six municipalities within days. The combined effort in logistics and communications ensured efficient distribution of relief goods to thousands of residents in far-flung areas across Northern Cebu. “Wala man lisod kaayo ang access diri samot na sa agianan samot na ang kaning sa Tagnucan kay mubalik pa sa mainland (Access here is very difficult, especially the roads, especially for Tagnucan, because the road goes back to the mainland),” said Nino Mangubat, the focal person of PADS in Borbon, shared on a Facebook post. (Now, this aid given by the BingoPlus Foundation is really a huge help for the persons with disabilities here in Borbon, because we truly see that even though it is very difficult for PWDs right now, we—the chapter presidents—are making every effort to ensure that all the aid given by BingoPlus is delivered house-to-house to the members.)” The PADS representative said “Thank you kaayo BingoPlus sa inyong hatag na suporta sa moa o sa PADS. Thank you kayo (Thank you very much, BingoPlus, for the support you gave us, or to PADS. Thank you very much)." _“Ang mga ayudang ito ay aming ipinamamahagi house-to-house sa aming mga miyembro dahil mahirap ang access ng daanan dito... kaya umaabot ng 17 kilometro ang biyahe,” shared PADS Focal Person Nino Mangubat to Jem Tumbaga of BingoPlus Foundation, describing the challenges of delivering relief to PWDs. The collaboration helped bridge access to essential goods directly to remote homes, sparing vulnerable sectors the long and difficult travel to distribution sites._ **Php6 million Aid of BayanihanPlus** Through the Foundation’s program BayanihanPlus, volunteers successfully delivered thousands of relief packs to an estimated 56,000 residents across six municipalities in Northern Cebu. This extensive distribution, valued at Php6 million, spanned a phased approach from October 5 to October 23. "Our commitment to the people of Cebu is unwavering," said Angela Camins-Wieneke, BingoPlus Foundation Executive Director. "This Php6 million support from DigiPlus and BingoPlus represents an immediate lifeline for tens of thousands of individuals who lost their homes, livelihoods, and some even their loved ones. We've prioritized swift, targeted action to ensure the relief gets into the hands of those who need it most. Sama-sama sa pagtulong. Sabay-sabay sa pagbangon. (We help together. We recover together.)" Understanding that earthquake recovery is a long-term process, the BingoPlus Foundation will continue working with partners to assess the changing needs of the affected communities as the complex recovery progresses. Sama-sama sa tulong. Sabay-sabay sa pagbangon – through its BayanihanPlus program, BingoPlus Foundation’s Php6 million support from DigiPlus and BingoPlus represents an immediate lifeline and a step towards recovery for thousands of individuals who lost their homes, livelihoods and loved ones.
