Nah, you just misunderstood their overly wordy explanation. I bank my time, just log in enough to make some resin and get the daily rewards. I've been playing on my console mostly :)

I think there's a misunderstanding. You can store up to 10 hours of free time before it caps you from storing more. If you play, you won't hit that cap and you'll be good.
