Maybe it's that I'm a relatively new player (started playing with AFR), but this feels no more out of place to me than EoE, Duskmourne, or Final Fantasy. I just think the era of "traditional fantasy" being the only setting of magic is over, UB or not.

I'm really low on station but haven't touched standard on a while. Maybe the bans and rotation will slow things down enough, but I'm having a hard time imagining when I wouldn't rather have a blocker vs some of the counters needed to turn on a space ship.
