Prime 1 and Prime as a whole is first person, Prime 2 was the dark world, Prime 3 was the more Halo esque narrative and multiple planets (also motion controls), Federation Force was Federation Force and now Prime 4 is the open world and also expanding on the Galactic Federation.

I've played around 2 hours and like...it's not bad at all??? I don't get what people are talking about. I get that it's different but that's Metroid Prime for you, it's a sub series all about experimenting.

I'd say it's fairly good but don't go in expecting something fully like Prime 1. It feels a lot more linear in the 2 or so hours I've played. I've heard it's the exact same as Prime 3 but I've never played Prime 3.
