I watched Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Sweet Home. Completely surprised me. boxd.it/9Dj1GX
A ★★★★ review of Sweet Home (1989)
This movie is a blast. You can feel the influence this movie has had on so much horror that followed. Is unfortunate that Kurosawa has disowned it, and that rights holders can’t negotiate getting this...

I saw Thunderbolts today. Lots of potential, but plays it too safe. Still, one of the better marvel movies of late.

A ★★★ review of Thunderbolts* (2025)
Thunderbolts has some really cool ideas that it ultimately is too cowardly to fully embrace. It almost makes some political statements about authoritarianism. It almost gets into trippy dreamlike sequ...

boxd.it/9qlbCN I saw Death of Unicorn last night. A great time for monster movie fans.
A ★★★★ review of Death of a Unicorn (2025)
Death of a unicorn is a very fun monster movie. It has an absurd premise that it relishes in, with plenty of gruesome deaths caused by our titular monsters.  It certainly helped that the unicorns look...

boxd.it/918RwL my recent review of Gwen and the Book of Sand from Deaf Crocodile.
A ★★★½ review of Gwen and the Book of Sand (1985)
This is a slow surreal contemplative animated film. It is not psychedelic, but it is visually striking and filled with strange imagery. It’s roughly 60 minutes runtime feels perfect. This is the first...

@terrorvisionvids.bsky.social really loving your releases lately. Back in ‘23 there was talk of Devils Sword getting a release. Is that still in the works?

Here’s my review of presence. A cool but ultimately gimmicky approach to camera work cannot save this family drama from some poor performances. boxd.it/8EbVyb
A ★★½ review of Presence (2024)
First I'll start by saying the advertising,.lk for this movie is a bit misleading. This is not a horror film, or even a mildly spooky film. The camera is firmly rooted in the perspective of the spirit...

I live in the year where a Spider-Man spinoff movie was better than a Ridley Scott movie. What a strange time to be alive.

I watched Frostbiter for my monthly movie night this week. At first I chose it because I believed it would be a “so bad it’s good” type of movie. What we instead found was a genuinely hilarious horror comedy. Definitely worth a watch with friends.

Gladiator 2 might be the most bafflingly dumb sequel to an amazing film I’ve ever seen.
