i'm just really happy that even with the game still relatively new, i was able to knock out this many achievements in the time between release and on christmas day. and yes, i went back to an old save just for the first final boss. i just had to.

well, this took too long to post, but on christmas day, i finally beat it on the highest difficulty for both combat and puzzles. the final boss did kick my ass a lot, but man, it was so satisfying to finally make it to the end.

oh, and this actually caught me by surprise, like i quickly looked around if an enemy had shown up, but it really was just that noise. what it was? i don't know, and that's what makes it scary.

also, during what i like to call the "house maze" sequence, there's so much to take in with all the little stuff scattered across the environment. pieces of a tumultuous relationship between family, and a seemingly important date.

one thing i forgot to mention is that man does this game look really good, like this lighting is absolutely mesmerizing. it really shows the kind of beauty you can find even in a horror setting that you are currently on.

the final boss of this ending was nothing short of a pain in the ass, and lord knows that's gonna be true when i attempt the next ending. i will say, the last cutscene is nothing short of disturbing after being lead from what seemed to be a form of resolution.
