Been meaning to update my pi-hole blocklist for a while now since it seemed to be blocking less and less. Per stats, was only blocking about 5% when it was previously in the 30% range somewhere.
Added new lists and refreshed. Things load a lot quicker now and I'm in the mid 30%s now. Success!

About a year and a half ago, my job provided me with a Mac to work on instead of a PC.
Up to that point, I'd had various Thinkpads and Latitudes for work.
It has been the best laptop that I've ever used. It's small, light, and battery lasts two whole shifts easily.

Getting a new computer always reminds me how much I despise apps that set themselves to auto-launch on boot. :/

Back in July of last year, I upgraded my RAM to 64GB. I wasn't sure if I would ever realistically need that much RAM, but figured it wouldn't hurt.
Now, with RAM prices as they are, I'm glad that I did. The same kit I bought is now on CLEARANCE for $70 more than I paid for it.

In other news, just read that @Spotify HiFi launched this week. Interesting. I’ll have to check it out.

Updated to iOS 26 today. Not sure if I’m sold on the whole “Liquid Glass” thing yet, but everything else seems decent so far. No issues after using the phone for a couple of hours.

Found a used Keychron Q5 Max on eBay for about half off, so I couldn't resist. Got the switches and key caps all transferred over this afternoon and typing on it right now. I appreciate the look -- very retro. Better than the black
Also, it's a different typing experience over the V1 Max for sure!

Ordered this watch about a week ago and it finally arrived today.
Love the design, but holy hell is it chonky! Big, thick.. It's probably about as heavy as my phone. No exaggeration.
Sadly, returning it. As much as I love the look, I'd never wear it because of the size.

Got my Dasher-themed keycaps yesterday and got them installed. This theme is called “Dancer” because it’s the opposite of the official Dasher color scheme (darks/lights reversed). I think I like this theme better
That being said, would look nicer on a white base. Coming soon.

When I ordered my first MT3-profile keycaps, they only had the base keyboard set in the color combination that I wanted. I ordered them, and a different-color numpad set hoping that one day the matching numpad set would become available.

Since I was traveling a bunch over the summer, I decided to invest in one of those “privacy” screen protectors for my phone.
I’ve never been into screen protectors in general and this one didn’t really change my mind a whole lot about them.

Got Bazzite installed on the laptop last night and finished setting it up today! Running great so far! Glad that I made the switch!

Busy computer day today. Nabbed a mini PC from MicroCenter and spent a couple hours getting that all setup.. then formatted the laptop and got Linux up and running. Still have some stuff to do there, but it’s started at least. Time for some sleep.

Tonight was one of those nights that made me thankful that I do daily backups of my Nextcloud server.
Accidentally deleted about 1/3 of my files when I meant to delete a symbolic link.
There is a recycle bin on the server but it missed about 10GB of files somewhere.
