Later “The Big Downzone” from 1967-1975 followed school desegregation orders and civil rights advances in court.

I’m 43, went to school in central Massachusetts. We learned that the Civil War was because of slavery

But were also taught racism as a whole was a southern issue. The North freed the slaves and that was that. Come Civil Rights history there was no mention of the Boston Busing Crisis etc.
