Because the government was shut down and SNAP benefits are on hold, I spent half the day with LI Cares / Island Harvest and PSEGLI handing out fresh food to those in need out in Shirley, LI, NY.

For a time I used to help #stray and #feral cats, and Fancy was one of my favorites. It took 3-4 years to eventually TNR her. I could never get her indoors again to adopt before I moved.
I loved this photo of fancy because she looks way chunkier than she actually is, and her eyes make her look lit. Also a picture of the screen door that the cats destroyed before I had moved in. I never replaced it because you can't lose a losing battle if you never participate.

Always wondered what happens when you fill a rice cooker to he brim with rice.
Two pictures side by side with so much rice, it pushes the lid up. The first picture there's maybe a 7 inch gap between the lid and the rice cooker. The second half is way too much rice. You wouldn't even eat this much rice at a buffet. Entirely too much rice. There is,Iike, three feet of rice between the lid and the rice cooker. It doesn't even look like the rice was washed first, so this is even worse.
