If it's possible they are taking it out on public servants even more. It's brutal. I was warned to get my professional designation fees in ASAP as more cuts are coming, the prof designation they require me to have for my job. 😔 Nevermind the training we can't get.

Hmmm, interesting way to think of it. As a Canadian I am both furious at the US while trying to be sympathetic to individual Americans that are suffering. I think we want to rage at someone but maybe we should rage at the cancer. We have some malignant cells up here ourselves.

Had such a desire to go buy stuff this weekend, to just buy anything. A crappy work week plus the social media ads for seasonal crap (embarassing that would affect me). Even when I admitted there is not one thing I need it was still a bit tempting. Watching squirrels on the fence is therapeutic!

I used to work for Health and Environment so I'm biased but they do a lot that Canadians take for granted. There is already too few food and product inspectors, scientists to protect health and the environment, study infectious disease etc. There will be a price to pay for the cuts by some.
