House of Leaves is also tbr, but need a break from that genre after WUTLH. Also would like to check out A Time for Everything as a break from horror, bc a couple hop along songs are inspired by that book so I hear. we'll see. prob night of the mannequin first though cause it's short

not sure what I'm reading next. got Night of the Mannequins and Summer Sons gifted, but probably will hold off on the second for a bit because the past 2 books have been queers in horrible situations. Also put out a hold on Under the Dome and The Buffalo Hunter Hunter (wait-list is like 49 ppl)

strong central concept/ARG works for a nosleep format or just any shorter story, but it really fell apart for me in novel format. idk its maybe 2.5. Also the ending is all over

were so many things that were kinda just all forced together without much cohesion. The map at the beginning suggested rules based horror, there's doppelgangers, there's something something religion, there's homophobic attitudes. I feel like I'm repeating myself now but I think that relying on a

I feel like full length books need to be stronger. Any attempts at themes were limited to some iconography here and there. It really wanted to say something about religion, but instead of doing That it just pushed some Christian imagery once in a while. And that's the thing, I feel like there

I feel like it, along with finding out there's a sequel, just acted as a signpost that "hey, you're not getting answers in this book" which felt very frustrating to me as a reader. I guess my core struggle with it is while it had a strong central concept with Old House, it faltered in places where

We Used To Live Here: holding out on a rating until I collect my thoughts. Really wanted to enjoy this one, and I did somewhat. But somewhere along the journey I kinda felt let down. I guess the loss of interest sort of began when I found out it was an ARG. While I think ARGs are generally fine,

also a quick search leads directly to the company that made it: x.com/Monumental_L...

Tech bros making a company to take soul out of sculpting is still the story, just absurdly more frivolous and wasteful than a 3d print
x.com

this does not seem to be 3d printed though? no 3d printer artifacts are visible, and has pretty consistent marbling around the bottom right. It seems more likely that a palantir guy has tons of blood money to throw around

oh it's an ARG jesus fuckin christ

which completely takes me out of the book. also found Misha to be slightly unbearable at times. the Inspiration chapters were pretty solid though, albeit sparse (and also a bit on the nose). overall, was a bit disappointed after loving Camp Damascus.

Bury Your Gays: 3.5
It was fun I guess? I appreciated having a lighter book after TOGI, but some struggles I had with Tingles writing in Camp Damascus really came to the forefront in this book. Often, the characters will basically monologue to the audience about the meaning of the book

Okay finished the only good indians a while ago but didn't post. Overall it was like a 4 or 4.5? I really enjoyed everything, but struggled to get through it. There were a lot of times where I would have to reread what I just read to understand it. otherwise fantastic. read it

"I need to be protected against grieving parents because I'm a dumb little baby who can't operate without my best groomer friend" that's you, that's what you sound like. Sam Altman needs to disable chatgpt 4.0, no matter how many gooner freaks get upset
November 14, 2025 at 7:50 AM
fucking mask off, viewing any sort of accountability as punishing the rest of them. Also claims to want free access to AI "as long as it's not illegal" while glossing over the fact that encouraging someone to commit suicide is very much illegal!! also there's the whole imagegen being used for csam
November 14, 2025 at 7:47 AM
saying "people just can't take accountability for things" to protect your favorite tech oligarch from having to take accountability for killing children. Also the OP has apparently never heard of Google or libraries before, which checks out for someone on r/chatgpt
November 14, 2025 at 7:36 AM
not even talking about a specific case because this is consistent behavior in several of the cases against Sam Altman's child killing machine
