The ballroom seems a way to keep Trump distracted while Republicans in power around him consolidate autocracy. Between Vought & his Heritage operatives, Miller/ICE, DoD/War, and SCOTUS, they can have autocratic consolidation buttoned up soon. Unpopularity has to trigger mass action bf too late.
