At the QUBIC Symposium and qLIFE it’s always inspiring to see the way quantum sensing technologies are beginning to have an impact for the life sciences, as well as the potential applications of quantum computing in this sector.

At QDC it was great to see the impressive experiments being run on the IBM Quantum devices and the way Qiskit is evolving to be easier and more transparent for researchers, the advanced error mitigation techniques that are being introduced and the sustained progress of the quantum hardware.

An updated version of Chapter 4 was also recently uploaded to arxiv: arxiv.org/abs/2509.10758
What started as a straightforward application of the method became a 2 year long investigation on various implementations and their resilience/susceptibility to quantum hardware noise.
