In this cross-sectional study of 1003 young adults, heavy lifetime cannabis use was associated with lower brain activation during a working memory task.

To those who stand with Ukraine: Under age 18 Americans are a majority non-white. Do you think they care one bit for another white European border dispute? They don't think Europe is worth fighting for. Check your privilege.

Man, you Democrats haven't been this mad since the Republicans banned slavery.

President's Biden's bipartisan border bill was to hire 1000 more border guards and add about 500 immigration judges.
That is, double down on a dysfunctional system. Trump shut the border down in two weeks. How un-American.

Oh my God. Grok3 follows the narrative closely. We live in a sea of lies.

I use Grok3 a lot on X. Very useful in searching for data. However, there are some words you cannot use. Note the interaction in the attached graphic. It under scores the fact that these AI's are not self-aware or intelligent. They are just dumb algorithms, no matter what their designers say.

@bsky.app The leadership of the UK wants to be a world leader in fighting climate change. The UK is pushing solar power as part of this, and is destroying farmlands for solar farms. Here is the most recent data this year for solar in the UK. What do you think?

The US govt used to get things done.
What happened?

I am on page 95 of the 900 page opus The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health (Children’s Health Defense) by RFK, jr.
If 1/10th of what he says is true, we are in for interesting times. We can all learn together.

The UK is committed to net-zero by 2050. Here is the UK grid for this year.
They have worked for years to get wind and solar on their grid.
They emit 1% of the world's CO2.
The grid is 1/3rd of the UK's power consumption.
The UK has the world's most expensive electricity.
Reflect.

If you want to find out about the troubled history of the Ivanpah concentrated solar plant, NPR will not be very useful. Neither is the NY Times. Reflect on how many things those media outlets do not talk about.

Let's have a conversation about belief.
Name some beliefs that many hold but which have little objective evidence to support them.
Here's one.
More spending = better education.
NY State now spends 36,000 per student in public schools with worsening objective educational outcomes.

Old news, but . . . TX had blackouts from a polar blast in Feb 2021. The graphic shows a complete collapse of wind power and solar power. The wind power collapse was due to lack of wind, which is typical of cold fronts. Solar collapsed. Natural gas, also used for heating homes, saved the grid.
