Last time Reform canvassed in Denton they snuck up to our doors, pushed through a leaflet and - I kid you not - ran away as fast as possible to jump into the back of their van. They did not stop to chat.

Were elephants given wine before battle?
Some ancient sources claim that elephants were given wine before battle in order to rouse them into a fighting frenzy. But was this practical or even safe?
