"My autistic meltdowns were treated as tantrums, and I was told, often, that I was ornery and sullen. By 12, I was put into therapy. I was the problem, and to fix that, I would take on my entire family's emotional labor."
I'd meant this piece to be about a different trauma. Whoops.

Drawn back in 2023 when we were still in the midst of finding adequate pain management. Nerve pain is so hard to explain when I've never felt it before and when the other person hasn't either.

Saint Odocoileus Hemionus, the patron saint of gender expression and euphoria. Compiled teachings found in the "Oh Deer" files.
