But then he'd still be outside parliament with no idea when a suitable one might become available. And he clearly thinks Labour needs a course correction to prevent a Reform government, and he's the person with the best chancqe to do it. He's probably not wrong about that.

I voted for Starmer in the leadership campaign, and was out knocking on doors to help win Hendon -the slimmest of Labour's victories. I knew i wasn't going to get everything I wanted, but I was willing to compromise to get some good done. A year later I am ashamed to have helped put them in power.
