Kamasi Washington in Cork was worth waiting for. Tickets bought May 2024, gig in April 2025. What a show! Heard snippets of Funkadelic, Roy Ayers, ATCQ (maybe) and loads of Kamasi and his fab band. Wow!

Luther Vandross documentary is on US CNN tonight. Unfortunately not on European CNN. I watched it last week. Brilliant documentary. I forgot he sang on so many classic tracks including most of Chic's early releases.

After listening to George Benson's Breezin' for over 30 years I have only just found out that it was actually Bobby Womack and not George Benson who wrote it and recorded this version with Szabo 6 years before the Benson version. youtu.be/pxAapOOllX0?... Both great versions all the same.
