Logan Thompson will be the starter for the Caps tonight against the Bruins. I would expect the goalie usage to be much less of a straight rotation this year, but the Caps don’t want Lindgren to sit on the shelf for too long, either.
From Spencer Carbery this morning:

Would expect the Caps' lines to look something like this tomorrow night:

Protas-Strome-Ovechkin
McMichael-Dubois-Wilson
Beauvillier-Lapierre-Leonard
Duhaime-Dowd-Sourdif

Fehervary-Carlson
Sandin-Roy
Chychrun-TvR

Thompson
Lindgren

Declan Chisholm needed eight stitches on his thigh to close the cut he got in yesterday's practice, but he skated today and said he feels good — and lucky that it wasn't worse. Both he and Matt Roy (upper body) are available for the Caps' opener tomorrow

Declan Chisholm, who was cut by a skate on his leg during yesterday’s practice, is skating this morning. Seems fine

Matt Roy (UBI) is wearing a regular jersey and on the ice with the full group for practice this morning. Dylan McIlrath (LBI, IR) skated before practice in the blue non-contact sweater

A year ago, Hendrix Lapierre made the Caps' final roster almost by default. This year, he forced the issue and demanded a spot on the team with his performance in training camp.
"I'm happy," Lapierre told me today, "but I'm not satisfied."

Hendrix Lapierre made the Caps’ roster, but now ‘the real work begins’
The center made last year’s team almost by default, then struggled. After a strong training camp and preseason, he wants to make an impact for the Capitals.

Spencer Carbery says Dylan McIlrath (LBI) and Matt Roy (UBI) are still being evaluated after their injuries Saturday night. He hasn’t gotten an update on Declan Chisholm (cut on leg during practice today) but thinks he “should be okay”

Proof that we’ve made it through training camp: names and numbers have been stripped off the back of the practice jerseys. A beautiful sight

Ethen Frank and Clay Stevenson are on waivers today to be assigned to Hershey. Today is the last day a player can be waived and clear before the 5pm roster deadline tomorrow; indicates that the Caps’ defense injuries from last night will extend into the regular season.

It’s an upper body injury for Matt Roy and a lower body injury for Dylan McIlrath, both of whom didn’t finish the game tonight. Spencer Carbery said they’ll be reevaluated tomorrow but he doesn’t think either ailment is “super significant or long-term.”

Pierre-Luc Dubois looks off Connor McMichael on a two-on-one and scores with a nasty wrist shot over Merzlikins' shoulder. That was sick

Martin Fehervary was miserable as he watched the Caps play in the playoffs without him. Now, with his knee feeling good after last spring's meniscus tear, he said he's "back to business" and feeling ready to go — and already has a new cut on his face.

After knee surgery, Martin Fehervary is ‘back to business’ for the Caps
Fehervary, who was sidelined late last season after tearing the meniscus in his right knee, appeared in his first preseason game for the Capitals on Thursday.

Caps are down to one group at practice this morning for the first time in training camp, and based on the lines, it looks like Connor McMichael will be shifting back to the wing

Got to the bottom of the Caps' biggest mystery today: Where Andrew Cristall's nickname of "Loaf" comes from. It's a reference to his hair.
"I had some good flow going last year and Willy kind of called me that one time, and it kind of stuck on with him. ... I like it."

Bogdan Trineyev, Henrik Rybinski, Louie Belpedio and Graeme Clark are on waivers today to be assigned to Hershey

Tom Wilson getting 2+5+10 in a preseason game and a Gordie Howe hat trick, he's in midseason form

Logan Thompson will play the whole game tonight in net for the Caps in Columbus

Ryan Leonard desperately wants to score goals for the Caps. But for Spencer Carbery, the box score counting stats will be at the bottom of the list of what he’s looking for from him.
On the budding power forward, his development arc and Carbery’s vision:

Success for Caps rookie Ryan Leonard won’t be measured by the box score
Spencer Carbery is looking for physicality from the young forward and isn’t worried about the number of goals and assists.

Spencer Carbery said Alex Ovechkin looked good and had no setbacks in practice today, his first practice as a full participant during this training camp. Carbery said he highly doubts that Ovechkin will play tomorrow in Columbus, but possible he could play in the last two.

Spencer Carbery said today that the Caps considered giving Lynden Lakovic another preseason game, but with the competition for wing spots, they wanted to prioritize evaluation opportunities for those guys. On Lakovic's first camp overall, he called it "excellent."
