He/him. Pastor in MT, climate activist all over. Big fan of mountains, water, Gregory Alan Isakov, and my dog.

Views are my own and I’ll try to live up to my standards.

Increasing temperatures are already killing huge numbers of people.

A ProPublica and @us.theguardian.com analysis found that Trump’s “America First” agenda is expected to add substantially to the toll, with the vast majority of deaths occurring outside the U.S.

Trump’s Anti-Green Agenda Could Lead to 1.3 Million More Climate Deaths. The Poorest Countries Will Be Impacted Most.
Most of the people expected to suffer these temperature-related deaths live in poor countries in Africa and South Asia that are least prepared to cope with the increasing heat from climate change.

Faith in Jesus means an unrelenting pursuit of the truth regardless of how it serves the purposes of power. People claiming Christ while equivocating about abusing children are failing. They should come correct or admit they worship power and not God.

The Trump admin forcing SNAP recipients to reapply now on top of the recertifications they already have to make along with all of the other things that chew away poor people’s time is so infuriatingly petty and cruel while wearing the face of polite formality I’m going to scream in an airport.

Every time I manage to say goodbye and leave the Zoom before the host ends the meeting I grow more powerful, my time reclaimed, my mystique more mystifying.

When the host ends it first I am dismissed—thrown into the cold and out of the grace of Zoom and discarded by colleague and friend alike.

No matter what you believe politically or theologically about the LGBTQ+ community, the elimination of this lifeline should infuriate all of us.

It is discrimination.

It is fearmongering.

It is homophobia.

It is hate.

It is polarized partisanship.

It is death-dealing action.
and yet, death
what defunding the suicide and crisis lifeline reminds us about maga america

If Chuck Schumer could imagine a more influential, more powerful, perhaps a braver American to oppose ‘the rise of authoritarianism’ I wonder what that hypothetical person would be like and what they would do with the power of the minority leader.
America witnessed one of the largest peaceful demonstrations in our country's history on No Kings Day.

Nearly 5 MILLION Americans took to the streets to make their voices heard against the rise of authoritarianism.

It was inspiring. And I was so proud to be one of them.

I find it interesting that the conservative narrative around paid protestors (ex. Standing Rock) is always framed as if paid protestors are meant to legitimize a movement when the most cost efficient and historical reading is that paid protestors are deployed to undermine and delegitimize protests.

If you live in a red state like me this is absolutely critical.

I just got off a call with faith leaders in South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Botswana and they brought up the same points as @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social

Call your reps. Meet with them if you can.
