Trump may characterize Good's killing as collateral damage—or even *deserved*, but we know better. We've seen it. Masked men covered in arsenals blasting bullets and glass into the face of a poet.

Our president calls people pigs, tells them they have hate in their hearts. Psychologists call this transference—projections of inner feelings onto others.

Pity the poor man for the internal madness he must endure, but beware—he is dangerous.

Trump's GOP is the party of Hate. Trump is no longer shy about professing hatred toward half his citizens.

Let us be resolved to counter hatred with best attitudes, best efforts.

Let's not attack the vicious Kingdom for its avarice and cruelty, but for the emptiness of its goals.

We should be demanding answers to questions like: What will we be left with once you make the world "right"? What's your vision? Do you have a vision?

"It is pseudoscience masquerading as sound forensics, they say. Some even liken the test to witch trials, where courts decided if a woman was a witch based on whether she floated or sank."
The "lung float" test is being used to charge women with murder. Many experts say it's unreliable.

“There’s no way you can determine live birth versus stillbirth with this test," said one doctor, who called the test “an outrageous breach of science.”

A Lab Test That Experts Liken to a Witch Trial Is Helping Send Women to Prison for Murder
The “lung float” test claims to help determine if a baby was born alive or dead, but many medical examiners say it’s too unreliable. Yet the test is still being used to bring murder charges — and get ...

It might be a good idea to review the meaning of the words we use and argue about. From my dictionary:

1. au·thor·i·tar·i·an·ism: noun. The enforcement or advocacy of strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom. Lack of concern for the wishes or opinions of others.

Trumps' accommodation for farmers, restaurants, and hotels is quite fascinating, quite revealing. He is saying "illegals" are permitted in these industries, but not in others. What's the criterion? A cynic will say it's pure politics, and this is true. But it's also pure bigotry, utter hatred.

Lots of truly reprehensible things going on in our nation's capitol these days, but recent comments from JD Vance may take the cake. He has perverted Christian doctrine in ways I never imagined possible, rationalizing cruelty and abuse of power by treating love as some sort of zero-sum game.

The problem with sarcasm is it doesn't work on your MAGA neighbor, doesn't even work on your center-right friends. Finding the humor in a bad situation, making light of it, just gives us all an excuse to laugh it off.

It's hard, I know, but serious times call on us to speak plain, persuasive truth.
