🎤 Former Skills Minister and Baker Dearing International chair Robert Halfon today addressed the Greater Manchester Festival of Technical Education, as it was announced Baker Dearing will be working to implement our UTC Sleeve initiative in the city. #thinkUTC

💡 Female and non binary students also attended an event at Amazon's London HQ in July 2023 for an in-depth look at careers in engineering and related fields. This event was supported brilliantly by Amazon, WISE, and Juliet Davenport.

🚝 Over 80 female and non-binary learners attended an event in December run by Baker Dearing and Network Rail, where the students heard from role model engineers and managers. They also developed their critical thinking and teamworking skills by working in teams to design and build a bridge.

⚙️ Today on #INWED, Baker Dearing is supporting an event at UTC Heathrow where Y13 students and employers are working with other schools' learners to tackle plastic pollution. 💡31 students from 10 UTCs took part in an Insight Day at Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology in Malmesbury last week.

The students enjoyed interactive engineering challenges, seeing Dyson products, a campus tour, and a talk on the institute's Masters in Engineering programme. #thinkUTC

🆕 Chair of the government's Curriculum and Assessment Review Professor Becky Francis visited London Design and Engineering UTC on 19 May.

Francis said afterwards it was "wonderful" to talk to "amazing students" and to see "impressive facilities and practice". #thinkUTC
