You’re more than welcome to play them in any order you want, as they’re mostly self-contained stories, but there are references to past games that may have a greater impact if you play them chronologically. Ys IX is one such example.

Well, welcome onboard! In case you’re ever looking for a new one, I know that Memories of Celceta takes place after Nordics. If you wanna do them chronologically, that’d be your best shot unless you want to play 1 or 2, and the battle mechanics in those games take some getting used to.
