Just left the Farmington, CT #NoKings protest and I haven't felt this much hope in a long time. This is a largely suburban town. Many of these people are old. Many are young. Many probably had other things to do but they still came out. I'd be shocked if there weren't at least 1200 people there.

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our beloved Navi. It was so fast, so chaotic, and much much too soon. Only a year and a half old, her heart had something wrong with it from birth, and it was aggravated by her spay. She is truly an unforgettable, irreplaceable companion. We love you, Navi.

How was my contribution a strawman anyway? You are clearly saying that you're willing to suspend empathy for people who are not "normal" and that empathy is only reserved for "normal" times. If you meant something different, the onus is on you to express it in a more coherent way.
