That's 168ms -> 1.6ms! and we have a lot of good ideas how to make it even faster.

Agentic AI, beneath all the hype, is actually just normal software. You can build agentic systems with a database, standard web tooling and real-time sync.

"plain HTTP, and a Postgres DB". Really nice example of how @electric-sql.com is really easy to integrate into your app.

I made this example of integrating BlockNote with Electric SQL today: github.com/TypeCellOS/b...

It shows the integration between Electric SQL, BlockNote & Y.js enabling collaborative editing using plain HTTP, and a Postgres DB.

PGlite (WASM Postgres) now gets over 1 million downloads a week! 🤯🚀
Absolutely incredible to see how people have embraced what we have built.
Awesome work by the team!

I've been working on a new Y.js synchronization server for the past few weeks now.

Today, I've hit a milestone for it, multiple clients synchronizing their documents & cursor updates!

I threw together a demo with blocknote.js.org and it works!

When you're vibe-coding, you don't want to think about infra. You want to stay in the zone, iterating and expressing yourself.

That means having a database inside your sandbox. No glue, no friction, no external services, no free-tier limits. Forkable, disposable, unlimited and zero cost.

🧵 More play less infra => vibe coding with the database inside the sandbox.

Apps built with AI app builders like @bolt.new usually need to connect to a database to actually work. With @pglite.dev you can have the database inside the sandbox, so you can vibe code without even thinking about infra.

Just realized that AI will make those lofi hip hop livestreams on youtube really good.

Don’t believe it? Give it a try. Signing up to Electric Cloud takes only 30 seconds dashboard.electric-sql.cloud

Did I mention Electric API is just HTTP? Yjs with Electric scales to millions of connections behind a CDN (probably you don’t need that many).
balegas.bsky.social
With Electric, just add a new endpoint to your API for accepting client writes and let Postgres and Electric do the rest.

Adding collaborative features to your app often means running extra infrastructure and storing data in a separata datastore.

Sync allows building APIs with minimal contracts. Why does it matter? As AI accelerates software development beyond human speed, your APIs must evolve in seconds, not days. Only sync engines give you that flexibility.

We've recently launched Electric Cloud BETA. It's never been easier to try sync.

📣 Electric Cloud is in public BETA!

It takes just 30 seconds to add your Postgres db and start syncing to millions.

Using @electric-sql.com to keep users and agents in sync.

AI apps are inherently collaborative between users and agents. You can't just have the agent state in the cloud. You need to keep the users in the loop.

That means you need to build them on sync.

Building AI apps? You need sync | ElectricSQL
AI apps are collaborative. Building them requires solving resumeability, interruptability, multi‑tab, multi‑device and multi‑user.

Our Postgres in WASM project, @pglite.dev, has hit 1/2 million downloads a week! 🤯
We (@electric-sql.com) have a lot planned for (native... 😉) PGlite this year, exciting times ahead!

Had a great time last night.
- Many familiar faces, but a lot more newcomers
- people are exploring local first tech to solve problems they have
- with interests ranging low-level optimizations, to high-performance state management, this is a very rich and diverse community!

Looking forward for the 2nd local-first meetup in Berlin tonight. We have fantastic talks lined up including the authors of Yjs, ElectricSQL and Jazz.

Due to the surprising demand, we've upgraded the venue to provide extra space for additional guests.
