As is the norm in many European cities, I am pleased there are now plans for a tourist levy to support London's economy.

This small charge on visitors can be reinvested right back in to London's public transport, funding activities and events, and attracting more visitors! 🎡🏙️
NEW: Plans are underway for a tourist levy to supercharge London's economy. It could raise *millions* to fund major improvements in our city.

London is the greatest city in the world, but there’s always more to do! A tourist levy would make it an even better place to live and visit for everyone.

Following the Govt's launch of England's first ever Men's Health Strategy, I took the opportunity to #Gen_a_Mo!

The strategy is taking comprehensive, coordinated action to address the specific health challenges facing men & boys.

For every moustache generated, Google donates £11 to Movember 🥸

It was wonderful to attend Mitzvah Day Tea at the Southgate Progressive Synagogue yesterday!

With 301 mitzvahs or 'good deeds' done, this was an amazing community effort to support others.

Well done to everyone involved 👏

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting Laurel Park School and meeting some wonderful students from the Sixth Form.

As well as having a discussion on my role, we talked about their studies and I received a great tour of the building. Well done Laurel Park! 🎒

Earlier this year, I visited Walkers Pharmacy in Palmers Green.

Today, the Chancellor has announced that NHS prescription charges will remain frozen next year, supporting millions of patients to access the care they need.

This is the Plan for Change in action.
It was great to visit Walkers Pharmacy in Palmers Green today to meet Manoj & Leya.

Walkers Pharmacy work hard to serve Southgate & Wood Green and I was glad to have the opportunity to listen to their concerns.

Pharmacies are at the heart of our community and our #NHS. I am proud to support them.

Since 2022, thousands of Ukrainian children have been stolen by Russia.

Today, the Minister for Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan reaffirmed the UK's support for bringing the 20,000 children forcibly deported home to Ukraine.

I am supporting the #BringKidsBack UA initiative 💙

This morning, I laid a wreath in the Garden of Remembrance in Broomfield Park for #RemembranceDay.

With wonderful performances of wartime music and poetry from local schools, it was a privilege to honour those who have served, continue to serve, and have fallen.

Today, I paid tribute to the bravery of those who fought for our freedom at the House of Commons Gardens of Remembrance.

It is a privilege to honour the sacrifices of those who have served in our armed forces.

We will remember them.

As Chair of @appgglobaled.bsky.social, I will continue to champion the power of #ODA for education.

We must continue to fund the life-changing work of @gpforeducation.bsky.social & @educannotwait.bsky.social 📝

I look forward to seeing the Govt spend 0.7% of GNI on ODA once the economy allows.

This week, it was inspiring to meet @anthonynolan.bsky.social volunteers and donors like Tom, who has donated stem cells 5 times! 👏

Younger donors give patients the best chance of survival, so they need more people aged 16-30 to sign-up.

Join the register now and become a potential lifesaver!

As part of #PlayinHealthcareWeek, it was great to celebrate 50 years of play in healthcare with Starlight!

Therapeutic play can have the most positive impact on a child's healthcare, building confidence and reducing trauma.

As part of #UN80 celebrations, it was great to attend the unveiling of the newly restored birdbath in Broomfield Park's Garden of Remembrance.
