They don’t even fight for themselves. It gets exhausting supporting a party that’s so wrapped up in “respectability,” that they don’t ever just say anything out loud. Take credit, accept blame, call it all out and be loud about it.

Fuck that. I understand her position, but as a cis person, I’m not good with this. They’re going to build on this and take it further. At some point it will affect someone we love. I don’t want to wait for that.

I wasn’t taking issue with the recounting. It’s more about centering elections and politicians when they represent a means to an end, not the end itself.

I don’t disagree. I just think we have to have other motivations besides politics. That way we stay focused despite these types of setbacks.

I think this is why coalitions can’t center politicians and must center objectives and support the folks that help achieve those objectives. That said, my observation has been that R’s don’t stand up for their constituents. It’s just perception, not material.

If your goal is comfort it’s going to be a long four years for you. I get not wanting to hear it, but maybe social media isn’t the place to achieve that.
