This cake looks like it was attacked by a large rat (call the exterminator! My brother suggested). The big rat is my 92 yo mother whose demented brain craves sugar almost exclusively at this point, and whose eye-hand coordination is rapidly declining.

Gonna write a book called “Dementia Humor.” The memory loss and repeating are one thing. The nastiness and contrariness is another. But. Then there’s those unintended hilarious moments. My mom sneaking off with old bank statements stuffed in her pants. Very important evidence!

Costco runs with my 91 yo mother is always an adventure. She slips away while I’m not looking and then I just catch glimpses of her darting around. I usually can locate by listening for the backup beeps 😂😂
