বিসমিল্লাহির রহমানির রহিম

যতক্ষণ না এই জাতি সুস্থ না হয়, ততক্ষণ আমি আমাদের জাতীয় সঙ্গীত গাইব না, আমাদের পতাকাকে অভিবাদন জানাব না, কারণ আমেরিকা যেমনটি হওয়ার কথা, তেমনভাবে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে না। আমি এই জাতি, আমাদের সন্তানদের এবং আমাদের অভিবাসীদের জন্য হাঁটু গেড়ে প্রার্থনা করি। আমার কলম হবে আমার তরবারি এবং ঈশ্বরের ধর্ম হবে আমার ঢাল।

Ya Bahá u’l-Abha.

Until this nation is restored to sanity I will not sing our anthem nor salute our flag, because neither represents America as it is supposed to be. I take the knee for this nation, our children and our immigrants. My pen will be my sword and the Cause of God my shield.
