I found out about Spike through is war memoirs (they come highly recommended). Then I remember watching Q9 as a wee nipper - not all of that stands up to rewatching today. But he pushed the envelope out. Then read - and loved - Puckoon.

Two 'standard' ones (BA and MA), then two more which are both '2/3'rds of a full degree (it's a bit complicated to explain, but basically if credit transfers had existed at the time, I would have got the first two years of a 3 year degree. Twice).

I've been thinking.

We could have a Wülferhampton AI centre. That boggy place, plus the beneficent climate, would provide the extensive water supply - ready mixed with the effluent output so characteristic of AI. I'm sure a few serfs have the odd hour free; they can power it using treadmills.
