Spurs felch.
They’re bad, yeah, but we’ve had bad DOFs pretty much throughout the ENIC era, yet some managers have still been able to ‘succeed’. It’s such a vital element to have the right manager in place. It alleviates many of the other problems. That’s the point I’m trying to make.

ENIC building hotels is not the reason Thomas Frank can’t coach players to move the ball through a set defence.

In terms of getting completely toxic, I can’t recall anything worse than today. Fans en masse booing players for passing backwards (justified, IMO) and making bad passes (not justified, IMO). So, we’ve reached a nadir, question is just whether it’ll be a one-off, or like this every game from now on.

Lucky Levy is gone, because that’s exactly the kind of dumb stunt I could see him going for.

Thought Richarlison actually made us slightly better, to be honest. May have actually made sense to start him and RKM up front together. If we’re just hoofing long balls from back to front, at least stick a couple of lumps up there and give us a chance of winning flick-ons.

Sack him at half time and hire Martin Jol, justice finally done.

Well, he’s getting more time, whether I or anyone else like it or not. Maybe he will start to understand the brief properly and adapt - that is supposedly one of his strengths - and he certainly says the right things in his numerous media appearances.

I guess it does, if you completely ignore everything else I wrote. There are plenty of people losing patience with Frank who were vehemently wanted Ange gone. Spurs fans, or maybe football fans in general, only tolerate (let’s be more generous, then) “pragmatic football” if it produces results.

Spurs fans don’t have much patience for shit, defensive football. That is not new, it’s always been that way.

I don’t see what Ange has got to do with this. When we expunged the last football terrorist, Levy told us we needed to get back to what this club is all about, then when it got shaky went out and hired another terrorist, just because he could smooth talk his way through a High Perfomance Podcast…
