Been a little quiet lately, but icymi i did post a new soul/funk mix to mixcloud.

Justice and vengeance for Vincent Chin. It could've been my dad in 1982, it could be me today.

Dance while you can, love while you can.

Another cringey 80s gun guy, TV's Peacemaker's own Vigilante. He always reminded me of a ninja on a ski vacation, with his stripey V neck sweater and mask/goggles combo

I'm kinda sick of drawing gun dudes, feels like this could all be used as evidence to prove how I'm a dangerous foreigner

A lot of uncomfortably militarized characters in this pouchtober list. Union Jack is basically the british Captain America, but not Captain Britain because that's a different guy. And not quite Captain Carter because that's Peggy Carter. This guy seems to fight vampires a lot tho, so that's cool

And right under Mando is Hobgoblin, the guy who's not Green Goblin, definitely an unrelated goblin guy on a glider who throws pumpkin bombs, and also hates Spider Man

The Mandalorian (and Grogu), very cool character, very aggravating to draw. Lots of little pads and armor segments and buckles and straps, but i guess that's what Pouchtober's all about right

This stupid pouchtober list forced me to draw Kim Possible, are you serious
January 2, 2026 at 12:09 AM
Kinda didn't wanna do this one but i must obey the list. Wild Dog is basically the DC Comics version of Punisher, just a dude with a lot of guns, but he wears a hockey mask because it was the 80s, and his shirt has a big red laughing cartoon dog instead of a skull, so that's fun?

Happy belated Pouchtober

First up: Spiral, right hand(s) to X-Men villain Mojo. The more hands you got, the more cargo pouches you need. Let's get 90s as fuck this month.

Don't think i properly showcased all four FF powers on this Super Skrull, but half-assing everything is how i ended up here. And with that ends the Kirby list.

Do i have another belated drawlloween list on deck? Ofc

One could even say i have the next list....in the pocket

So many silly gestures for a big dumb tree man, the OG Groot, who actually talked and was just another giant alien monster who wanted to take over the world til he was repurposed for the Guardians. Not super great poses all around, but hey this is free art content from ol head abbot

Another guy i definitely know how to draw, Dr. Hank McCoy, the Beast. Had to go old school Kirby style with him since this is a Kirby list, even though i know everybody loves a big blue furry Beast

The Murderous Misfit, another one and done Kirby villain, seems like a low budget Modok, an evil genius stuck in a little lumpy potato-head torso body. His robot servant Servitek carries him around and I'm sure does the whole Lion King Simba thing sometimes
December 29, 2025 at 12:30 AM
I get to draw two Demons, hell yeah. This time he's fighting the Phantom of the Sewers, basically a superpowered version of his opera-loving cousin. Phantom only showed up once in The Demon issue 8 in 1973, but somehow also made a cameo in the Justice League cartoon. What a guy

Did Jack Kirby create the GI Joe Cobra by creating Kobra in 1976? This Kobra with a K is pretty similar to Ra's Al-Ghul, a t*rr*rist mastermind with a criminal organization with hired goons, the whole nine. He even revives himself with the Lazarus Pit. Actually he's basically Ra's Al-Ghul. Wtf
December 28, 2025 at 12:45 AM
Really screwed up the perspective on Hulk's right arm, and also i guess he's wearing a skirt? Or busted thru his pants so to speak while hulking out. I dunno. Dumb angry Kirby monster Hulk > shrek-ass smart Hulk
December 27, 2025 at 1:46 AM
A good ¼ of the guys Kirby created were all just reskinned He-Mans, just a buncha musclebound dudes with blonde bowl cuts. Thundarr, Capt Victory, probably dozens of others, and Ikaris from the Eternals. The immortal space He-Man
December 27, 2025 at 1:26 AM
Going with the older Parademons that just looked like henchman dudes rather than the 80s red demon looking ones, or the more hunchback monstrous ones from the Justice League cartoon. I wonder if parademons, or orcs, or stormtroopers got decent health care and food for their service. Probably not
December 26, 2025 at 12:22 AM
Thundarr the Barbarian, I'd call him a He-Man ripoff if Kirby didn't help design He-Man too. I tried to come up with something way more hunched, sinewy and barbarian-like, and really play up the kind of warrior who's survived years of constant battle, covered in scars and gouges
December 25, 2025 at 11:59 PM
You know him as the star of Fantastic Four: First Steps, beloved character Red Ghost and his Super-Apes, everybody
December 24, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Did you know Don Rickles, legendary insult comic, was turned into a comic character in the 60s/70s? Goody Rickels (note the legally distinct spelling) was a character similar in appearance and personality to Mr. Warmth himself, but he occasionally helped out Superman by.....zinging bad guys i guess?
December 24, 2025 at 5:49 PM
Spent all my energy on the helmet, and none for the rest of the body. Whoops. There's a Galactus tho
December 21, 2025 at 11:39 PM
Sky Masters. No, that's not the name of the team, that's the guy. Captain Sky Masters of the Space Force. Seemed like there were bits of that "space pulp adventure hero" concept that later made it into Fantastic Four, but they really were just spitballing and seeing what stuck back then
December 20, 2025 at 10:10 PM
I've always seen this version of Sandman (and his sidekick...sigh...Sandy) kicking around, never knew anything about him, assumed he was just some generic Superman-like. I guess he's like a reverse Freddy Krueger, who fights nightmares?

Also yeah, modeled Sandy after Spaceman Spiff
December 20, 2025 at 7:39 PM
The Black Owl, yet another 30s/40s Batman, Shadow, Phantom type mystery man hero that never really went anywhere. Guess if you're Jack Kirby, or me really, you just gotta keep making stuff and hope something sticks.

I really Wolverine'd his costume up with those pronounced cowl ears
December 20, 2025 at 6:38 PM
That sick weirdo freak Philip Masters, the Puppet Master, playing with his action fig-d'ah i mean psionic puppets
December 19, 2025 at 11:37 PM
Orion is a deceptively tough character to draw, and it's 97% that stupid helmet and astro harness
