I've heard New Vegas was excellent, but truly the overarching issue for me is the setting; while Fallout 4 was also definitely a slough, the fact that it was a slough through a setting I already didn't care for is what ultimately turned me off the franchise entirely.

Fact is, I was not terribly interested in the Fallout games to begin with, but then I hadn't been too interested in The Elder Scrolls before actually playing one of them, so I decided to give Fallout a chance with 4.

Alas, I was not interested enough to try again.

Without getting too into it, I'd gone through that myself a few times when I first read it, so I kept reading. But it was definitely a gut-punch. Cried through the rest.

I love both the G3 and G4 general aesthetic. (I know all the kids are getting turnt on Frutiger Aero, but genuinely, in that moment, those were all pretty great.)
