i just wanted to get ahead here cuz i know some people like to suggest that everyone should just play the "rayman redemption" fangame instead, but that's a reimagining, not a faithful QoL fix. there's value in it, but to have that value rest entirely on replacing the original undervalues both games.

I'm so happy to have gotten to have a part in this, this whole progress was just so exciting in general

We kinda just ended up figuring out the rest as I watched Baqly draw the art lol. But in the process, we ended up establishing a good art style; like a blend of paint and pixels, there's a slight messiness and scratchy feel to it, a little akin to how the SPAWN enemies are drawn.

Baqly then drew some Noelles for practice. I explained that RibbitNoelle embodies an uncomfortably idealistic state of happiness, that makes her subtly off-putting next to her Deltarune counterpart. We went with the big pupils on the right, as I thought that fit the "unsettingly perfect" image best.
