Three bobcat kittens (and hidden mama) check out the whistling duck family from across the canal behind my back yard. Photos and videos are at flic.kr/s/aHBqjCCQQ2.

Since the only thing Trump pays attention to is money (I refuse to say he understands it), how about we stop paying income tax since our money isn’t being spent for America, just for Trump and his cronies.

Remember back in 2016 when Trump admitted to going into beauty pageant dressing rooms to watch undressed young women? Why are any of the Epstein threats a surprise (such as the new info about reported photos of Trump with naked young women).

Pam Bondi has cemented her legacy in history today. When lack of greatness precludes fame, one has to settle for infamy.

On this tragic day (NO political violence is acceptable, left, right, or center), here are a couple of photos from my yard to reaffirm that life is still beautiful.

I took literally thousands of photos of the lightning on Saturday night. I've deleted thousands that are just black and about to start actually looking at the ones remaining, but couldn’t resist editing this one. I'm calling it “Bat outta hell”. Amazing!

Remember to refresh yourself with some nature wherever you are. Last night's sunset from my back patio.

Bunny-paddle! I didn’t know bunnies could swim. This little guy was across the canal at the tail end of the rain today. It waded into the canal and swam across. It kept its little butt in the air - I assume it was to be able to use its back legs to kick. Always something new to observe!

My latest safety measure, since I live alone. Phone caddy where it won’t get wet but I can reach it from inside the shower if I fall. $10 for 2 from Amazon. Hardest part is remembering to put it in and then to take it out. Cats not included.

My landscaper, who I assumed was moderately MAGA, just spouted off about not being able to use his hispanic workers and that another company just got hit today and their worders were rounded up. Gulf coast of Alabama. He called out redneck Republicans who cheered. Tide may be turning!

I have an alligator in the back yard again, and it had the gall to YAWN at me! I think I've been insulted.

I've had this progression since probably the 70s. I wish I knew where I got it from, as I'd like to give them credit.

The moon was a gorgeous orange last night near moonset, and the sun was quite red at sunset (though I didn't get a photo of it because trees). I believe that this is from the Saharan dust cloud that is blowing across the Atlantic

Lightning over the Gulf of Mexico. After the lightning and rain had passed over my house, I followed the storm to the beach and commenced taking photos. Some are even good! This was taken about 12:30 am. There was more lightning last night, and possibly more in the next few days.

My problem with this story is that federal aid to disaster victims shouldn’t depend on whether the state is friendly to Trump. reader.mobilepressregister.com/0507-disaste...
Would federal aid reach Alabama if disaster strikes during 2025 hurricane season?

A "century plant" (agave) in my neighborhood is about to bloom. They live for 25-35 years, send up one stalk to blossom, and then die. Much to ponder on here.

@lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com Have you ever considered the facts that Donny Two Dolls is the grandson of a criminal immigrant and that his eldest and youngest children mothers are immigrants? Also, I believe that Ivana admitted to entering the country illegally. Should they all be deported?

I'm editing photos from yesterday and today, and here's two to hopefully make you smile. First is a California poppy in my Alabama yard, and second is my neighborly allligator with a dragonfly hitchhiker.

Animals just fall for me! (Eastern gray squirrel in Alabama's Gulf State Park, who landed on the ground just fine and proceeded to forage.)

One of my neighbors would like a word with Trump and Musk (and most of Congress). He was sorry to miss the #HandsOff #Mobile protest today, but is willing to visit DC.

This was my sign today at Mobile, AL HandsOff Protest. Lots of terrific and timely signs! #HandsOff
