Today Masako led us on a 10-mile walk along the Columbia River followed by lunch at the Puffin Cafe. I had nachos and a beer. We saw a red-tailed hawk and many dogs on our walk.

I just contacted senators Wicker, Graham, Tillis, Collins & Grassley asking them to please stand with Ukraine & our NATO allies and to try to get the orange maniac to stop sucking up to Putin. I know it won’t do any good but I have to do something.

Joan led us on a lovely walk on the salmon Creek trail and then three of us headed to Esther Short Park for an anti-fascism rally. I was pleased and amazed at how many people turned out.

Today we visited the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Then we had Persian food at Rumi’s Kitchen. Then we headed back to Arlington Cemetery to find Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s grave. It was a big day in Washington DC.

Today we visited Lincoln’s cottage and had a delicious lunch at the Federalist Pig. Washington DC is such a fun town; I’m not going to let trump destroy all my pleasure in it!

Our first full day in Washington DC included a long walk to lunch at Ben’s Chili Bowl. Barbara & Bill joined us for dinner at P.J. Clarke’s followed by cookies and decaf lattes in our hotel’s lounge.

Today was a beautiful day for Masako to lead us from Council Crest down the Marquam trail and back. Seven plus miles and 1500+ elevation gain=a great workout!

Masako led us on a wonderful foggy hike at Powell Butte this morning: 5 1/2 miles and 822 ft. elev. gain. So great to see my sole sisters: Masako, Peggy, Peg & Minnesota Mary.

Ann led us 8 miles out and back to Gillette Lake and Greenleaf Overlook. It was a gorgeous sunny day with 1400+ elevation gain.

Today the Monday Gang walked fiveish miles around the Washington State University campus. It was cool, foggy & beautiful. Then we had lunch at 8noodle.

We had a nice hike on a new-to-me trail today. We didn’t see any other hikers and got in 6 1/2 miles and 1214 feet elevation gain. Not bad!
