i think the expectation of art being for the viewer rather than for the artist has really hurt discussion and critique. People view art as a product, but Ill save the “Capitalism cannot exist with art as the purest form of human expression” rant for another time

the intention of the artist and how well that idea is communicated, as well as what ideas we can create from it ourselves.
There a tons of pantings i LOVE and respect as phenomenal works i would NEVER hang in my own home for the sheer fact it doesnt fit my personal vibe. that doesnt make them bad

As far as I am aware it was enacted sometime between January 2022 and January 2024, as that was the last time a series rated higher than Smash was named (the Evil Ryu event. most Street Fighter games are rated T). This is why the Sentinels and Zagreus also dont have their series of origin listed.

Aerie and Echo in the Wind are easily some of my favorite tracks in any game. Aerie genuinely brought me to tears the first time I heard it, which usually only happens in like JRPG death scene music for me.

This has to do with an ESRB rule that prevents games from mentioning other series of higher age ratings by name

that story helped me accept loss and move on in a way i may not have otherwise, or at least as quickly.

depressive episode and Rex’s sheer positivity flipped a switch on my outlook on life and how i formulate my relationships “If its puts smiles on peoples’ faces, then thats my role in this world” in particular stuck with me.
