Some of us see the implications of toxic systems & ideologies but when we raise concerns or sound the alarm we are told we are making a mountain out of a mole hill. It’s incredibly frustrating.

The reality is that people only see what they want to see. Author Tiffany Blum says that you can’t see red flags through rose-colored glasses.

I don’t know. It’s a little country church. That’s just what came to mind the first time I saw it. 😂

There’s a Second Presbyterian in Chattanooga.

Also, I live up the hill from God’s Way Baptist Church. Whoever named it must have gotten the idea from the horrifying Gary Ezzo parenting program. 🤦🏻‍♀️

That was the first thing that came to mind for me as well.

What I love about the Episcopal church I attend is kneeling at the altar and lifting my cupped hands. Having left churches that only reveled in strength, this sign of gesture of neediness is a balm to my soul.

This is the ideology I’ve seen pedaled by political/theological conservatives for years. Their arguments begin with “What about…” and “But the dems…” in order to justify any & all unethical, ungodly behavior. They have no idea of overcoming evil with good (even if only their perception of evil).

I figure they’re gonna have all the info on me already. If I’m an open book then nobody can hang anything over me. I doubt they’d feel threatened by a 61yo postmenopausal realtor. They’d more likely jump bump me off as unnecessary, seeing how I can no longer reproduce & don’t made good sammiches.

Getting an accurate diagnosis is like being able to finally pinpoint your location on a map. You can’t figure out how to get where you need to go unless you find out where you are. Thank you for sharing this tender information.

I’m having an open house today at a listing and the doors are open. 🤷‍♀️

My husband worked for the company back then and while, even back then, we weren’t that politically conservative, we still had great respect for Joel Belz and his vision. The magazine had morphed into something almost unrecognizable. It is alarming.

This is perhaps the most disgusting thing I have ever read.

“Your past experiences have skewed your perception.” That’s what I was told when I raised a concern. No. My past experiences educated me to red flags and toxic dynamics.
