My thoughts are that the intruders are birds without a territory. Probably young adults on a speculative journey to establish one if their own. It’s the time if year when young raven’s fancy turns to such things.

There were 2 interlopers as it turns out, constantly airborne above the local pair who were in the canopy (the general area where I think they nest) vocalising then making sorties as the intruders approached. The whole action lasted 10 minutes, or so, before the bandits flew off S.W.

Snap! Yesterday’s dog walk on my patch I heard a right racket from the local pair including some raven vocalisation I hadn’t heard before. They were clearly agitated, but initially I couldn’t see them in the canopy. It turned out to be an interloper. (Sound on). #ravens

Fabulous stuff my favourite bird. “My” local pair show almost daily on my dog walk. Circa 10 years now & I am still uncertain on gender ID characteristics, but if pushed I would call your Gravy as the male. A video from a different aspect would probably have me calling it differently. 🤔🤷♂️
