Didn't much enjoy book, can't remember why, did enjoy the film. But surely you'd edit "OK" from the script, and why does he swim crawl? It wasn't invented till C19! All those people in the credits and no-one noticed that gaffe! Not that I'm a pedant...

How about a plot involving moral character weakness, misogyny, social media, thuggery, detective work, heroism, food, wine, music, shifting allegiances and yet more social media? Epic and Shakespearean, yet bang up to date. Would make a great book, or at least a short story.

These cases are wonderful, they are always in Wales or Cornwall and involve a triangle of unregistered land shaded pink or possibly green, lost conveyances, and statutory declarations by long dead neighbours
