Size Matters!???

This topic exposes how the IPC authors are still wedded to principle of aerosols being ‘respirable’ i.e. 5 microns or less, despite the expert evidence at the Covid-19 Inquiry.

Getting this wrong means that Healthcare Workers are given inadequate respiratory protection.

It clarifies the legal status both of Surgical Masks and Respiratory Protective Equipment (eg FFP3, reusables, powered hoods). It blows away the myth contained in IPC Manuals and many other places by people who would have us believe FRSMs protect us against Covid-19, flu (etc)

HSE knew that surgical masks are not PPE but did nothing to stop those spreading misinformation.

May be of interest to any HCW harmed by workplace exposure to and also those who are still in service, being spun a yarn about FRSMs being PPE.
