Even for someone like me, who is good at front-end stuff but deeply ignorant of How Computers Actually Work, Linux Mint (Cinnamon) has proven better than windows for 90 percent of what I usually need, and for the other 10 percent, relatively easy to troubleshoot and get working.

Humans are remarkably flexible, but if you’re making an industrial dough-kneading machine for example, they don’t make a bunch of hands.
They make four very clever static geometric shapes and throw em on a conveyer belt.
