That was the only parenting advice my mother ever gave me and it was by far the best. Jesus Christ, people, it’s not a “method,” it’s a relationship!

A battle over the truth? Are you fucking kidding?

The Scobee Grill Diner on Northern Boulevard in Little Neck NY. We ate there every Friday night and 9 times out of 10 I ordered the hot open faced turkey sandwich. I learned years later that it was owned by George Tenet’s parents.

Before getting into how difficult it might be, shouldn’t you spend some time analyzing how ILLEGAL it would be? Or does that not bother the big brains at the NYT?

Oh please. Do better or find something better suited to your negligible skills.

Is there an opportunity for obstruction at the state level? Could, say, Abbot or Desantis refuse to certify the “fraudulent” results of races in Democratic districts? Blocking even a few Democrats from claiming their seats might be enough to tip the balance in the House.

Don’t show this to George Clooney. It will make him feel bad about himself.

Drivel. Absolute drivel. Logical, moral, practical drivel.

He’s the best pitcher in baseball. What’s that “worth”?

You are talking about a man who has already used a mob to try to nullify the outcome of a presidential election. The midterms will no doubt occur but whether the results will be implemented is,I think, a valid and open question. And that fact alone spells a kind of doom for the American experiment.

I don’t know. Saw it when I was a kid and then caught it on TV in the last few years. Based on a Russian novel, starring a very young Frank Langella. Brooks has a funny cameo and Don Deluise plays a crooked Orthodox priest.

Not sure what “sequential“ means here but want to point out that Mel directed the sadly-neglected and underrated The Twelve Chairs between Producers and Blazing Saddles.

The law applies, or should apply, to everyone—even assholes, and even assholes who are using the law to advance their own assholery. Remember when the ACLU supported the right of some neo-Nazis to march in Skokie? This seems pretty basic to me, but then again I’m a lawyer.

This is disgraceful. Grew up watching Cronkite bc CBS News was the gold standard for journalistic integrity. Now it’s a fascist brothel. Good riddance.

And it wasn’t “TED talk dinner.” Get your facts straight.

Your dismissiveness illustrates how deeply the press establishment has internalized its own corruption, such that you think ”he was just consorting with a bunch of oligarchs” somehow demonstrates his journalistic integrity. Every day I am reminded of the last paragraph of Animal Farm.
