Modeller of the S&DJR and GWR in 4mm, Swanage Railway Museum Volunteer & Twitter Escapee.

Mostly messing around with projects far too large for the space I have.
Also complete is my GW K40 Full brake. It’s been converted from an Airfix B set carriage.
In all honesty there’s not much of that Airfix carriage left, but it does mean another old and unused vehicle now has a purpose on my layout. Plus it satisfies my desire for carriage building! #TMRGUK #BSMRGUK

Bogies!

Since completing the body overhaul of my Hornby Dia D29 (with some of those fancy Bettabitz etches), the underframe has gone untouched until now.

Dart Castings bogies now going on, and these will be followed by new underframe gear too. #TMRGUK #BSMRGUK

GW hand crane all completed and ready to roll on the layout. Fun build that was. #BSMRGUK #TMRGUK

So, I’ve now got a crane. Such a brilliant kit to put together. #BSMRGUK #TMRGUK

My Airfix GWR K40 conversion is coming along nicely now, just to paint the last few exposed details on the chassis, and the carriage ends. #BSMRGUK #TMRGUK

A few weathered coal wagons, suitably grubby now. #BSMRGUK

New purchase running in as well today. Nice looking loco, and for £45, can’t complain really. #BSMRGUK

The next phase of construction is well under way for the layout, and I’m not taking the easy route with this one.

All set up in the garden this morning, visualising how the viaduct and landscape should look.

Time to get that some track laid and working first though. #BSMRGUK

Hi folks, another Twitter escapee popping in. I’ve heard some good things about Bluesky, so I thought I’d give it a go.

For those who haven’t seen my layout before, here it is. A 21ft (and growing) depiction of a GWR/S&DJR terminus, set in around the 30s, ish.
