True. I don’t think it is possible without a ton of data to really go as far. Because have consider home/away records, availability and such.

I do think Pistons have some major tests against teams like Celtics @ TD Garden on 12/15, and playing out west—“could Pistons hold off Denver?”

My argument for committing to trade Ivey rests on committing to maximize development of Ausar/Ron.

I am uncertain Pistons can develop all 3 without holding one of them back. Ivey has to be paid sooner, so that is my sticking point.

I hate to sound like a “wet blanket”. But at one point, Sexton looked like an awesome scorer (albeit, questionable defense). Got an injury. Still is quality.but never quite a star.

I am torn between Ivey being Sexton level or something more.

I haven’t been blown away by his performance so far. But I see he is getting better.

Ivey will be 24 in Feb. he is still young. But the league is filled with high upside guards (25>). Not sure if I would put Ivey in top 10 of most “sure thing” for future stars right now.

Fair. But CJ is probably better defender. And while Ivey was good pre-injury. There is no telling whether he could have sustain that production.

It depends if you think Ivey is a a star level player.
