#30DayMapChallenge – Day 19: Projections.

For today’s task, I worked with a map projected in WGS 1984 UTM Zone 32N. This projection is well-suited for regions within West Africa, offering better distance and area accuracy compared to unprojected geographic coordinates.

Day 17 #30DayMapChallenge New Tool

I tried to make a 3D land cover map with #RStudio, but I couldn’t render it with rayshader due to my PC’s low efficiency and my beginner-level R skills. 🤓

🦋 Junonia sophia (the Brown Pansy) thrives across sub-Saharan Africa.
A ground-loving butterfly with bold eye-spots for defense, it lives in savannas, farms & grasslands.
Its larvae feed on Acanthaceae plants, and adults help pollinate while serving as prey.
Common & widespread.
