I don't play video games as a hobby, or really at all. But I do criticize the shit out of books for spelling, grammar, and audiobook *voice actors* for their narration skills, or lack of. 🤣
I'm really fond of the phrase/expression "How you do anything is how you do everything."

project. We were trying to stand out, and differentiate ourselves. This wasn't some half-assed, sloppy video game fansite. It was a clean, professional wiki that was meant to show how seriously we took our work.
After doing this for so long, we've really grown to take pride in our work.

endless cleanup.
I kept watching Baumgartner Restoration videos on YouTube and he'd talk about how and why he'd tidy up the backs of canvases, even if nobody would ever see it. And I wanted our wiki to reflect the amount of work we were putting into it. I wanted it to look like a professional

Ultimately though, it boiled down to a whole lot of "right place, at the right time".
When we went indie, there was this stupid bug with the visual editor that prevented us from using it. Upon seeing how messy our source pages were, we spent YEARS cleaning them up. November 2020 to early 2024 of

100% relatable. I'm an admin (for several reasons) because I was in the right place at the right time. The wiki was being ported to its new host on Gamepedia, I'd wanted to be a wiki editor for years, I'd wanted to clean up the wiki for years, and I have a seasonal job mowing lawns, it was November.

I didn't even consider that "It's ineffective." would be misleading. Which is extra dumb, as we spend quite a lot of time on the Mystery Dungeon Franchise Wiki thinking about how we word things to avoid confusion or being misleading or conflicts.

"Spend too much time on LGBTQ+ issues" says the fuckwits who're obsessed with us...
"And not enough time focused on decreasing the amount of crime" say the scumfucks who elected a felon that incited a riot at the capital.
These scumbags truly are masters of projecting.

I was playing Pokémon GO a few days ago. In a battle it said "Not very effective." and I thought "Nob translated that 30 years ago, and they're still using his wording."
They could have updated it to say "It's ineffective." Or "It isn't very effective."
Even the simplest of lines made an impact.

me get the other 9 in early 2010. I began reading them in May 2010 and have been hooked ever since. I own some truly rare and special copies.
Leslie Banks' own author copy of book 1, the first hardcover she ever signed, etc.

Meant to say Carlos can do nothing right.* Book after book, they throw everything he does in his face. He helps kill every other master vampire, is burned in the sun for it, and then they STILL give him shit as a resurrected human.
My mother gave me book 10 as a Christmas gift in 2009. She helped

It's like the show Supernatural. It's riddled with flaws, but I simply love it too much to walk away. 🤣
