That is a profound betrayal of the oath they swore and as a fellow retired disabled combat vet, I know that they will carry the scars, the nightmares, and the questions that no pardon can erase.

Trump has shown he will pardon those who commit violence in his name, Hegseth and his circle will likely face no real consequences. Meanwhile, the service members on the ground will undoubtedly live with the weight of actions they never asked for and never should have been ordered to carry out.
