It’s funny because as a country we chose to offload these manufacturing jobs overseas in the mid 20th century because we knew that our economy is more productive if we shifted to a service economy. Trump is damaging the economy by increasing the cost of living and undoing the service economy we have

Trump wants to try to prop up American manufacturing and production through tariffs, which was a huge reason for tariffs in the past, but with how interconnected and efficient the global economy already is, the shift he wants would take decades. On top of that it wouldn’t even benefit us anyway lol

Recently he’s just come to terms with the fact that he’s not going to achieve fringe leftist ideas in the current political climate. He still advocates for universal healthcare, higher minimum wage, etc. What do you really expect him to do at this point in time. It didn’t work in 2016 either lol
