I'll bet they had a laugh about stuff like this at the Alamo, just before Santa Anna rocked up. 🇲🇽✌️🇺🇲

To be fair, Stalin would've just fired at his generals. ✌️🇺🇲

I had three excellent history teachers at school (50 yrs ago). I never really felt I was taught anything wrong. There's plenty of revisionist stuff around these days if it's the 'right' history people are looking for. Trump, e.g. makes history up as he goes along and as for geography ! 🙄

Well said, imagine if anti- vaxers had to sign a waiver when the children were born, declaring they reserve the right not to vaccinate them. Then their children will know who put them at risk of childhood diseases.

Sadly, another tragic shooting gives US citizens another opportunity to pour invective and hate upon each other🇺🇲👈🇺🇲. And as always, let's not blame the gun.

Here we go, MAGA is trying to interpret (g)od's book of Trump. Inside, there is an answer, but we're too thick to help. Once we consult the wishes of the NRA, we'll let you know. The second ammendment, does come before. Thy Shall Not Kill !

Andrew Carnegie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Scottish-American, philanthropist, endowed the USA, UK, and other countries with many public libraries. It's a pity that many public bodies like to dictate what goes onto their library shelves. If it's a boring book banned or not, it'll stay unread. 📖 📚

As a non US citizen (UK), why is the GOP making it more of a national issue if Joe Biden might leave his slippers in the fridge vs a sitting US president and the files of his former pal Jeffrey Epstein.

You're such a flatterer! It's nice to see Trump carrying on the legacy of all potential Empire wannabes, dumbing down more than usual to reenforce his inadequacy on behalf of MAGA viewers at home.

Apart from the Nazis habit of book bonfire nights. Reform UK do unfortunately take themselves too seriously, but worse still is that England's so called free press take them even more so. So journalistic drivel becomes almost....serious reporting! 🥱

Do you think future artists will celebrate staring at a screen. Credit to all artists who capture how a book can be a special moment of peace.

Came across these elegant chickens last week on the Isle of Jersey🇯🇪 thought they looked quite French 🇫🇷.

At secondary school (the 70's🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿). We used to get 'home readers'. You absorb more than you realise. I actually came across a book in a Charity Shop this week that was given as a First Prize to pupil in the 1960's. You don't need to plug a book into a wall. Books can be as personal as family photos.

This is all becoming a bit of an 'Anticline-max' .... Sorry! 🙄

Theodore Roosevelt was influenced by John Muir (father of National Parks) in preserving natural wilderness without exploiting its resources. Yet Trump is only interested in National Parks if there's something in it for him and not for the benefit of the American people.

You can't vaccinate against stupidity, so RFK Jr. knows his audience! 👍🇺🇲

Trumps rehash of Ronald Reagans (Raygun🔫) SDI project as now moved from the realms of James Bond to Golden Grift, the contracts for pals will be endless.🫴💰💵🚀🛰

The belief that MAGA is happy to put your business, your hopes, your house, and basically your 'American Dream' into the hands of a President, who actually expects and needs failure as a sign of US economic progress is beyond comprehension. 🇺🇸🙏

The MAGAs are conveniently forgetting that Trump has his own 24/7 highly privileged propaganda, 'soap-box'. But Cory Booker did it the hard way. Democrats are finally "digging in" 👍 🇺🇲

When Oliver Cromwell wanted a portrait commissioned, he instructed the artist to paint it 'warts and all'. Cromwell was a strong leader (no time for Kings), unlike Trump, who's a narcissist and no time for anybody! Divas!!
